Saroori kicks off Chatroo road show, slams BJP, PDP

Congress believes in ‘Har Haath Shakti, Har Haath Tarakki 

Chatroo (Kishtwar), 05 April: - Member of Congress campaigning committee for Jammu province and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today staged a road show together with all workers from Kuchal, Simbole, Kwath,Chas, Basha, Sigdi, Harmullah, Mir Mohallah, Sheikh Pura, Khunti Mohammah, Noon Pallan, Sangambatti, Mulchitter, Zabkul, Markhal, Bhatta, Balana, Hindgam, Pahalgam and Supnaie.  

Holding his first road show in the Chatroo area, Congress MLA Saroori covered some 20 villages in Inderwal constituency in Kishtwar district.

Urging villagers to vote for his (Congress) party, he said though the election was not linked to resolution of any issue, it was necessary to address day-to-day problems of the masses.

At various places Saroori addressed to public and gave details of developmental works done during the previous years under leadership of Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chairperson UPA Sonia Gandhi, Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi and son of the soil, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Saroori asked the people not to be swayed by the “false promises of the BJP and PDP but be guided by their own good sense and take a decision to support the Congress and vote for Ghulam Nabi Azad contesting candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda parliamentary seat.”

Congress has strengthened the country’s culture, he said. “We do not make false promises. What we promise, we deliver. The Congress believes in ‘Har Haath Shakti, Har Haath Tarakki (Each hand is power, each hand is progress”, Saroori said.

Saroori wholeheartedly supported Article 370 which gives special status to the state Jammu and Kashmir. He further requested to the public to support Azad who has lot of affection with people of whole Jammu and Kashmir.

Large number of people also participated in the road show and offered full support to MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and Congress candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Various Slogans were raised by the people in favour of Azad, Saroori and also in favour of Congress.

Dozen people join Congress at Kishtwar

Poochal (Kishtwar), 4 April: - Former Minister and senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori continuing his drive to organize meeting of Congress from village to village for canvassing and meeting grass root voters organized meeting at villages Bhera, Bhata, Sarkote, Poochal, Dadpeth, Chingam and Vohal and Passerkote where the people gave him a warm reception with the beating of drums and raises the slogan “Azad sb zindabad, Saroori sb zindabad”.

While addressing Saroori said that, “be it Congress led UPA Government at Centre or Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir, we never discriminated with the people. We ensure equitable development. We never identified the areas that did not vote for us. Instead, we listened to every voice raised by any political party or an individual.”

Targeting the BJP, he said, “Congress has always shed blood and sacrificed for the country. On the other hand is a party that has only divided the society.” BJP is befooling the people of the country with fake projection of Modi as a sole man who has magic to make India a developed country.

Saroori said BJP unable to produce even a manifesto on time just because of internal differences within the BJP party. They can’t have party manifesto what. "A party and leader which claims great administrative and managerial competence is unable to release its manifesto in time," Saroori said.

He asked voters to come in large numbers and exercise their right to vote and vote for Congress on 17th April in Azad’s favour.

Vice President JKPCC Ghulam Haider Sheikh said in the present circumstance congress is the only party which has performed will inspite of no co-corruption at all levels by the opposition and development schemes adopted by congress for poor has shown the results.

Later at his (Saroori) residence more than dozen people joins Congress, while addressing to new entrants he said Congress has always remained heart-beat of people of the State and enjoys overwhelming support in every area, region of the State.

Saroori addressed public meetings in Kishtwar constituency

Appeal to press hand button on EVM’s on 17th April in Azad’s favour

Paddar (Kishtwar), 03 April: - Member of Congress campaigning committee of Jammu province and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said Ghulam Nabi Azad has always worked on the policy of development and he will continue to follow it in Jammu and Kashmir and appealed all the Congress workers to stay united and start campaigning to ensure huge victory for the Ghulam Nabi Azad from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Parliamentary Constituency.

In a series of meetings at Padherna, Nagseni, Gulab Garah, Atholi, Paddar and Kajhai addressed by Congress senior leader, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori who highlighted the achievements of Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azad and UPA Government at Centre under the competent leadership of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.

Saroori said that it is the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir that Ghulam Nabi Azad has given its due share to Jammu Region and the area has seen the light of many new projects related to Tourism, Education, Heath, Sanitation, Road Connectivity etc like last year Azad had announced upgradation of Primary Health Centre at Gulabgarh from 4 beds to 25 beds and sub-centre at Maksoo up to 10 beds. Beside Azad had on the demand of the people also announced opening of six new sub-centres in Padder block of the Kishtwar district in order to provide healthcare facilities to the people of the remote areas at their door-steps.

He also said that Mr Azad had sanctioned three new tourism circuits for the Chenab valley region—Doda-Lal Draman at the cost of Rs 5 crore, Bhaderwah-Bhalesa at a cost of Rs 8 crore and Kishtwar-Machail at cost of Rs 8 crore. They said as the people are now realizing that the development of the children and youth are possible only under in the regime of Congress.

Cautioning the people against the propaganda unleashed by the disruptive forces like BJP and PDP against the Congress, the Member of Congress campaigning committee G M Saroori said that these unscrupulous forces appear at a particular season (during election) and try to spread false rumors inciting the sentiments of innocent people in the name of religion, caste, creed and color. This has been proved in the past when the BJP was in power for small stints. They failed in all fronts, the cadres of party frustrated and launched communal frenzies at many places in the country.

During these meetings Saroori also appealed the people particularly youth and women to caste vote in Azad's favour and press hand button on EVMs on 17th April 2014 and assured the general public that Azad sahib will lay no stone unturned in serving Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Udhampur and Kathua Districts.

Among prominent Retired DC Khursheed Ahmed Butt, Senior congress leaders including Mahinder Singh Parihar, Irshad Ahmed Sheikh, Piyaray Lal Shan, all the block presidents, party cadres, beside people in large number attended the meetings.

Kishtwar, 02 April: - Launching an intensified campaign, senior leader and Congress MLA from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said people support congress party because for his slogan of 'Hindu, Muslim, Sikh etihad (unity)'. The country's well being depends on that.

Saroori held a series of Congress party workers meeting at his residence at Kishtwar beside public meetings at Rangolla Thathri and take stock of poll preparation ahead of April 17 voting held meeting.

While addressing Saroori urged the people to vote for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda parliament seat, Ghulam Nabi Azad because Congress is the only which party which believe that India's strength lies in its unity in diversity and want all people from all parts of the Country to live happily throughout the length and breadth of India.

“Without naming Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Saroori who is also the member of Congress campaigning committee in the Jammu province said every time at the time of elections the parties leadership uses different tactics to gain the vote bank on the basis of religion, caste and creed, whereas Congress party has never changed its stand and believes in secularism.” He called upon the people to cast vote on the basis of all round development, secularism, integrity of nation and for communal harmony.

People on the occasion complaint to Mr. Saroori that Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department is only providing 5Kg rice per Ration Card instead of 15 Kg has been made available to the poor consumers.

He (Saroori) said that he is in contact with the higher officials of CAPD department and due to not paid to Food Corporation of India and thus no ration has been made available to the consumers, he added that higher officials of CAPD has assured that before 7th of April Ration will be available at every depot of CAPD beside Saroori also listened to various local issues of area like Phigsoo, Rangola, Nandana, Cheera, Nowtas, Dadi Kathawa, Bhandoga, Jehneri, Gali, Sipla and Kashali area of Tehsil Thathri, district Doda.

Saroori urged the party workers to work hard and explore all the resources for ensuring the victory of Ghulam Nabi Azad in upcoming parliament elections.

Saroori started door to door campaign; addressed 15 public meetings in a day

Remaining MGNREGA Payment will be released shortly

Sarthal (Kishtwar), 1st April: - Senior Congress MLA from Inderwal and a member of a campaign committee, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today started door to door campaign for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua parliament seat, Ghulam Nabi Azad and addressed 15 public meetings at Agral, Dada, Sarthal, Karool, Moharwari, Ladsa, Ghan, Angara, Bhagran, Pura, Chandali, Cheryana, Kandoth and Hasti.

While addressing Saroori said “MGNREGA payment is delayed due to non-release of payment as state earmarked Rs 950 crores to which state got only Rs 500 crores from centre government, he added that remaining Rs 450 crores will be released shortly in this month only. Nevertheless, the remaining amount hasn’t released as a consequence of Management Information System (MIC) not being uploaded.

“Congress Party has ensured over all development in the State and the country, whether it is power sector, education, health, rural development, road connectivity or water supply. 

On the basis of development ensured in the country, the Congress is now going to the people for seeking votes. He claimed that UPA-III would come to power again as UPA-II had emerged stronger than UPA-I on the basis of votes secured”, Saroori added.

Saroori said Azad has worked day and night and ensured the overall development towards J&K particularly Udhampur constituency both as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union minister. His (Azad) historical decisions ranging from creation of eight new districts including Kishtwar, implementation of Roshni Act, construction of Yatri Niwas, Haj House, Tulip Garden, New Assembly Complex, enactment of stringent Anti Corruption Laws etc are enough to sustain the claims that Azad possess a competent and visionary foresight.

He said that as Union Health Minister Mr. Azad recently sanctioned five new Medical Colleges for the State which will definitely lead the State towards achieving self reliance in Health sector. The people of Udhampur parliament constituency are lucky that such a strong Leader of Congress is going to contest from their Lok Sabha Constituency and will surely made him victorious with huge margin.

BJP seeking votes through false propaganda: Congress



No central government has the power to revoke article 370: Saroori
 

Chatroo (Kishtwar), 29 March: - Congress campaigning committee on Saturday concluded the campaigning on three constituencies including Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and Inderwal. They addressed 30 rallies and more than 70 meetings.
 

The members including Congress MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, MLA Bhaderwal Mohammed Sharief Niaz, MLC Naresh Gupta, Advocate Aslam Goni and Congress Leader from Doda Sheikh Mujeeb today addressed 3 mammoth rallies in Inderwal constituency including Thakrie, Mugalmaidan and Chatroo, in which more than 10,000 people from Mugalmaidan, Chatroo, Chingam, Sigdi, Kuchal and its adjoining areas had gathered at the rally venue to listen to the members.
 

While addressing MLA Inderwal, G. M. Saroori accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of "trying to get votes through false propaganda". "The BJP leaders say one thing in their closed doors meetings and another in public meetings”.
 

"They (the BJP leaders) are talking of revoking article 370 of the Constitution, but no central government has the power to revoke this article," Saroori added.
 

Saroori urged the people to rise above caste and religion based politics and vote for the Congress. Keeping in view the existing development works carried out by the UPA-I and UPA-II, it becomes a matter of pride and gain, to vote and support Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is the only suitable candidate to safeguard our interest in the parliament.
 

Congress leader appealed to the large gathering at various places during the full day road show in Inderwal Constituency, to come in large number along with their families to caste vote in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad and make him victorious in the ensuing elections.
 

In his address MLA Bhaderwah Mohammed Sharied Niaz asked the electoral not to waste their time elsewhere and vote for the Congress nominees Ghulam Nabi Azad to help the party march ahead on the path of development. "The future is safe in the strong hands of Rahul Gandhi who is sure to become the prime minister,"
 

In their address MLC Naresh Gupta, Advocate Aslam Goni, Sheikh Mujeeb and others also spoke on the occasion and termed UPA led government an ideal situation for Jammu and Kashmir and said that the BJP led government at the Centre will not be in the interests of the country.
 

They appealed all to support Azad by pressing hand button on EVMs on 17th April.
