Congress hails appointment of Ambika Soni as In-Charge Congress J&K.

Saroori visited Bunjwah area distributed Rs 5 Lack Labour cheques among beneficiaries.

Kishtwar, June 16: - Senior Congress Leader, Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori today hail the decision of the Congress high command Chairperson UPA Smt. Sonia Gandhi and vice presidend Rahul Gandhi for appointment of Ambika Soni as General Secretary In-Charge Congress Jammu and Kashmir.

"This decision will greatly strengthen the party at grass root level. Her appointment will further boost up the rank and file of the party for forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, JK Congress MLA G M Saroori said.

While addressing a various public meetings at Jalapur, Noor, Antwan, Kewa, Patshalla area of Bunjwah District Kishtwar distributed Labour cheques worth 5 Lacks among beneficiaries in presence of Assistant Labour Commissioner Kishtwar Zakir Hussain.

Saroori asked the District and Sectoral officers to consult Sarpanchs for developing village level plans. He said Government has already given a clear cut direction in this regard, but unfortunately things are not implemented. He emphasized that Planning should be from bottom to top and not from top to bottom as only panchayats know what are the genuine and priority areas of work in the Villages.

The locals of the area appreciated the efforts of the Saroori for taking keen interest for development of Jalapur panchayat.

On the occasion people put forth various demands including issue of ration being provided on the basis of 2001 census instead of 2011 census and better road connectivity in Bunjwah areas and electrify remaining villages and Saroori assured the people that their demands and problems would be considered sympathetically for early redressal. He said that centre government is providing liberal funding for various development sectors and the state government is making tireless efforts for optimum use of the same for development and to connect cut out habitations and villages of the state under centrally sponsored schemes like PMGSY, MGNREGA etc.

Prominent among those Farooq Ahmed Want, Mohammad Iqbal Keen, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Akhtar Hussain Tatani, Ab Rahman Wani, Mohd Sharief Keen, Abid Hussain and people in large number were present on the occasion.*
