BJP block president in Inderwal joins Congress with his supporters

Saroor (Kishtwar), 12 April: - Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that erstwhile district Doda was on path of progress.

He was addressing public meetings at Khori, Dhar, Lass, Neju Kukarwas, Londhari, Tatani Saroor, Kalchanda, Barhoti, Bugrana and Bahdad Salana of Inderwal Assembly constituency.

On the occasion BJP Block President Drabshallah Baby Chand and senior BJP leaders including Hens Raj, Beli Ram, Ashok Kumar along with their supporters from Salana Saroor joins hand with MLA Saroori at Bahdat Saroor. Soon after joining the Congress party, Baby Chand and others claimed of being fed up of the BJP, which has lost its earlier sheen and that they have lost faith in the BJP leadership. They said that MLA Saroori has worked for the Inderwal’s development and is proud to be a part of it today.

Welcoming the leaders, sitting MLA G M Saroori said their joining the party would further strengthen the Congress party. Seeking votes for party candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad said since Congress carried forward Central projects ably, State witnessed such a massive development. He said that Congress could restore peace, bring an order into the system of Governance, ensure accountability and implement all central schemes ably, people were benefitted even in remotest areas of the state.

Seeking votes in Azad’s favour he added that massive construction of bridges, widening of roads, buildings, establishment of Degree colleges at Thathri and Chatroo, new administrative units were all aimed at developing rural areas to meet people’s needs and growing demands. It was because of liberal funding from the Centre that State could develop Schools under RMSA, SSA, Roads under PMGSY, CRF, Health under NRHM, 4 crores for new PHC’s, Water supply scheme and electricity under RGGVY, PMRP,  NRWDP, AIBP, MGNREGA, PMEGP and ICDS  are the contribution of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) toward J&K States progress.

Saroori asked the people to remain united and defeat the elements who attempt at disturbing age-old amity and brotherhood in the State just for power politics. He also made people aware of the false propaganda let loose by BJP against Congress and said that thriving on falsehood and propaganda has remained the trait of BJP.

People on the occasion also complaint to MLA Inderwal regarding repairment of Transformer, Saroor area should also be bought under Watershed scheme, Solar Lights and Improving Electricity in the area. He appealed to all the people to come in large to their voting booth on 17th April and cast vote in favour of Congress candidate G N Azad.

Prominent among those Akhtar Hussain Tatani, Om Prakash Shan, Santosh Kumar, Parshotam Kumar, Bashir Ahmed, Vikay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Mohd Iqbal, Mohd Shafi, Mohd Sultan Malik, Ved Prakash, Gori Lal, Ramesh Kumar, Ch Ismaeil, Jamal Din, Bansi Lal, Ch Qasam, Javed Ahmed, Mohd Issaq, Mohd Abdullah, Hari Ram, Firdous Ahmed, Mohd Shafi Butt, Moh Sharief Naik, Babu Ram, President Mahila Wing Saroor Parvati Devi, Angrez Singh, Zabeyl Singh and people in large were also present on the occasion.
