are open for all well meaning people, who want to contribute in the party’s efforts
to bring peace, and development in the state. He said it is encouraging that
the people in large numbers are joining the Congress and reposing their faith
in the democratic process to find solution of their problems. Saroori said the
party represents hope and optimism in Jammu and Kashmir in the days of gloom
and disenchantment.
Appealing people from different walks of life particularly
youth to become part of the party, Saroori said Congress offers a platform for
all well meaning peoples to encourage them and play their role in party’s
vision of political resolution and good governance. He said Congress by way of
its pro-people policies is the only viable regional alternative for the people
of the state. He said the ruling government has failed to do anything good for
the people of Chenab Valley except strengthening the instrument of oppression
to unleash terror on them. He said Congress is the only party having a clear
agenda for the betterment of the people of the state.
Saroori said the Jammu and Kashmir is presently passing
through the difficult times and it is only credible leadership of the Congress
which not only can ensure the peace in the state but will take the state to new

to its pro-people and revolutionary policies. Newly entrant’s people said that

Mohammad Saroori has totally transformed the volatile situation that existed
before 2005 and created an atmosphere of peace and tranquility by giving a new
and positive direction to the peace and governance issues of the state. “Today
once again the state is caught in the worst situation of kind where
misgovernance, corruption, nepotism and above all anti youth policies have
become the hallmark of the ruling dispensation, therefore we consider it our
moral duty to come forward and help in getting rid of the present inefficient,
insensitive system, “ they said.
Later Mr. Saroori also chaired party workers meeting in the
Dak Bungalow Thathri and announced Rs. 28 lakhs for the development of Eidgah
under Constituency Development Funds (CDF) at Thathri and said I will personally
monitor the plan formulated for its beautification. Addressing party workers
meet, Saroori expressed serious concern over the problems confronting people.
Developmental works have come to standstill, roads are in dilapidated
conditions, people are suffering in absence of ration, non availability
electricity and rising unemployment have added miseries to the people, he said.
Saroori said Congress party has always been committed for equitable development
of the regions and never indulged in any kind of discrimination. We want that
every region and section of the State to develop and proper equally, he
