G. M Saroori grieved over Khellani accident

 
Condoled demise of Fayaz Ahmed Lone

Kishtwar, April 10: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President and Former Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed shock and deep grief over the loss of three precious lives in a tragic accident which took place on Tuesday near Khellani area on Batote-Doda national highway.

“My heart goes out to the families of those who have lost their dear ones in an unfortunate accident”, Saroori said in a statement while expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, praying for strength to them to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls beside a place for them in a heaven.

The five family members were on way to their home in Kishtwar when their car rolled down a hill near Khelleni on Batote-Kishtwar National Highway and fell into a 150-feet-deep gorge. They were then taken to the Doda district hospital where doctors declared Liyaqat Kamal and Tabish Bano (10) brought dead while Nuzhat Ara Sheikh (45) died in GMC Jammu and her daughters, Zainab Bano (7) and Baby (3), are undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, Mr. Saroori has condoled the demise of Fayaz Ahmed son of Abdul Samad Lone resident of Khanpura Dadpeth who passed away yesterday.

In his condolence message to bereaved family, Saroori expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and has prayed Almighty Allah for granting solace to the departed soul and courage to the family of the deceased to bear with the loss beside this place for him in heaven.

THAKRIE, APRIL 08: - Reiterating his party’s resolve to ensure equitable development in all the three regions of the State, Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today while series of Congress workers meetings at Sarawan, Sirgwari, Keshwan,  and Kuriya areas of Thakrie block today said that Congress Government has always focused on the development and raising infrastructure in rural and remote areas of the State irrespective the last five years of BJP government, the Country has seen only communal tension and no development took during NDA regime.

Mr. Saroori urged the people of the Chenab region to vote decisively in favour of Congress Party. He said the Congress had ensured good governance and fast track development that was characterised by all-round and equitable development, efficiency, transparency and people-friendly image.

Asserting that the UPA Governments successfully broke the myth that development is a utopian dream, Saroori said that it was practically demonstrated by the Congress party to deliver the fruits of development equitably and judiciously mostly in backward and far flung areas. He said that this proactive developmental agenda left a deep imprint on the hearts and minds of the people, which the BJP failed to too any concrete steps on developmental vise during the past five years in the Country. “We made ‘development’ as a narrative and discourse in the Country, and dispersed the fruits of development beyond the confines of the Urban cities”, Mr Saroori said and added that Congress for the first time made a serious and determined attempt to initiate developmental activities in the far flung and remote areas of the State, especially the Chenab region which suffered neglect again from 2014.

Emphasizing that only Congress can ensure continuity in the ongoing developmental activities in backward regions like Chenab Valley and rest are all to exploit and divide the people on religious lines, Saroori sought support of the people to implement the ‘development model’ of Congress in the State. He said that the landmark decision of create new administrative units in the state including Tehsil and Block status for Thakrie in which deliberately no Tehsildar was posted in the Thakrie by the BJP. He said Tehsil for Thakrie would have alleviated the hardships of the people of this backward region, and could have given a new thrust to the developmental process in the Thakrie.

Urging the people of Chenab region to maintain similar unity and togetherness which they have shown since 2002, Saroori said that enemies of Chenab Valley are unnerved by the progress which the people of this region. “BJP tried to divide and polarise the people of Chenab Valley only to stall their progress and development, but I am very happy that people have now understood the game plan and are ready to vote with sagacity and wisdom to frustrate their nefarious agenda”, said Saroori and appealed to all the voters to go to their polling stations and caste votes in favour of Congress candidates on 18th April.

G. M Saroori expresses grief over death of a minor in a snow bound area






KISHTWAR, APRIL 04: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori expressed deep grief and shock over the death of a 12-year-old boy Faizan Ahmed son of Ghulam Mir who was missing since 27th March 2019 and recovered the dead boy from a snow bound area of upper reaches of Kuchal while his another sibling namely Mohammad Ramzan (12) is still missing.

“My heart goes out to the family members of Ghulam Mir who lost his son in a mysterious incident,” Saroori said and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Saroori also prayed for the peace to the departed soul and strength to bereaved family for bearing this irreparable loss besides this place for him in heaven.
Meanwhile Mr. Saroori have also condoled the sad demises of Ghulam Qadir Butt resident of Mulchitter Sigdi, Anish Kumar Shan resident of Dhar Saroor. He has expressed sympathies with the bereaved families. He has also prayed to Almighty Allah for granting solace to the departed souls and courage to the family of the deceased’s to bear with the loss.

Mugalmaidan, April 03: - Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today visited Kuchal, Chatroo, Mugalmaidan areas of tehsil Chatroo & Mugalmaidan and called upon the people to make the Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua victorious.

Mr. Saroori called upon the party leaders, workers and activists to brace up for the ongoing Lok Sabha election to make Congress victorious in the poll. “Only few days have been left for the Lok Sabha elections, which would be followed by the Assembly polls. The party leaders and workers should brace up for the polls and make the Congress victorious,” he said and expressed confidence that the Congress would form next Government at the Centre as well as the State.

He said Congress is committed to overall development of all the three regions of the state especially hilly, backward, remote, mountainous and border areas. He appealed people to work for strengthening the party in the best interest of the people of Inderwal. He voiced concern over backwardness of erstwhile Doda district during the BJP regime but listed the works done by Dr Manmohan Singh led UPA Government and Ghulam Nabi Azad led Government in the state in the bad pockets to develop them on priority.

Mr. Saroori declared that only Congress would take the Country to path of development and ensure that no areas were left under developed but since 2014 after formation of BJP government all Developmental works have been deliberately stopped in the Chenab Valley. He cautioned the people against the designs of communal forces, who, he said, have become active in the ongoing of Lok Sabha. He added that these organisations would try to exploit religious and emotional sentiments of the people but asked the gathering to see through their designs.

He urged the people to remain vigilant against the machinations from the BJP the main agenda of which is to polarise the situation and benefit from division in the society and frustrate their designs while maintaining age old tradition of mutual brotherhood and communal harmony. He said their main plank during the ensuing election will be to divide the masses.

Mr. Saroori claimed that “Your vote in favour of the Congress candidate will be the vote for progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.” He also appealed to the people to vote in favour of Vikramaditya Singh Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliament sear on 18th April.
Earlier Mr. Saroori has attended the annual function day of Madrasa Kuchal in which eminent Muslim scholars, Management of the Madrasa, thousands of people and other dignitaries were also present in the function.

Robbed people of hard earnings, Congress committed to uplift poor, downtrodden through Minimum Guarantee Income

Kishtwar, April 01: - The Congress party today launched a scathing attack on the BJP over its anti people policies and called upon the people not to fell prey to divisive politics of BJP which is aimed to divide the people to secure its electoral gain at the cost of secular fabrics of the country.

Speaking at a jam packed Press Conference at his residence, JKPCC Vice President and Member JK Campaign and Election Management Committee, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that Modi Government’s anti people policies had proved only a dream seller that robbed the people off their genuine and legitimate income through demonetization.

Saroori said that Congress party is committed to uplift the poor and downtrodden people of the country through minimum guarantee income scheme announced by the Congress President Sh. Rahul Gandhi  that will ensure that all the BPL families across the length and breadth of the country will get an amount of Rs. 72000 per annum so that they could meet out the daily requirements of their families at par with other people of the country.

“It is UPA Government that introduced MGNREGA Act that ensure 100 days wages to more than 30 Cr people of the country while at the same time minimum Guarantee income scheme will provide direct benefit to over 25 Cr  people of the country” said Saroori.

Saroori said that like in other parts of the country, BJP also fail to fulfill its poll promises with the people of the state added that people are still waiting for share of Rs. 15 Lakhs promised by Modi government. He said that Modi’s Jaan Dhan Yojna was an organized loot where people were asked to open bank account and later thousands of crores were looted from these & other accounts on the name of maintenance of minimum deposits in these banks accounts which is aimed only to give benefits to leading bankers. 

He said that the farmers are committing suicides due to poor policies of the BJP lead NDA government while at the same time the finance minister Arun Jaitly mock the farmers by offering them Rs. 36 per day while at the same time few industrialist who are close to BJP get benefits worth thousands of crores through exemptions in bank loans, easy escape from the country after looting the money of tax payers.

“You must have listen the name of Nirav Modi—Mehul Choksi – these are India’s most wanted fugitives— You must also know that Nirav Modi is dealing with the business of Gems including Sapphire – It is a known fact that Sapphire is only available in Padder area of Kishtwar District and must inquire—how the Sapphire from Padder mines reach in the stores of PM Modi’s close friends” Saroori told the media persons to inquire.

Saroori said that as far as development in Udhampur Parliamentary constituency, the incumbent MP Dr. Jatindra Singh fail to even visit the Chenab valley added that the people of village Saddal and Battan adopted by the MP are still carving for the development and the poor condition of both the villages mocks at the promises made by the MP who holds office of highest repute i.e PMO.

He said that BJP if voted to power will be a disaster for the unity and integrity of the country which was strengthened during the successive Congress governments at center as well as in the state of J&K.

Saroori urged upon the people of the country to vote wholeheartedly for the Congress party and also requested the people of Jammu region to ensure the victories of Congress candidate Vikarm Aditiya Singh and Raman Bhalla from Udhampur and Jammu Parliamentary seats respectively so that they could be equal partners in the development of the state and the country.

Among others District Congress Committee Kishtwar, Block Congress Committees, Senior Congress Leaders, Sarpanches and others were present on the occasion.
