Jammu,: - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori while addressing a public meeting at Chatroo said that the coalition government is committed to provide connectivity to every nook and corner of the state especially hilly areas, so that the basic amenities will be available to the people at the door step.

Mr Saroori said that Chatroo is emerging as well known tourist destination as the basic infrastructure was also put in place well in advance for tourist visiting Kashmir valley via Chatroo Singpura.

He said that coalition government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah is committed to give Panchayats constitutional status shortly, so that Sarpanches and Panches can be charged their duty effectively.

Saroori conveyed his displeasure to the District Administration regarding slow progress of construction of school buildings under RMSA.

He inaugurated the Hydraulic Sub Division PHE at Chatroo and distributed cheques amounting Rupees 10 Lakhs among the beneficiaries of Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) at Chatroo.

Earlier he inaugurated Asraria computer institute and distributes cheques amounting Rupees 25 Lakhs among Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) beneficiaries at Mughal Maidan.

Saroori also visited Deller and other adjacent areas where he provided 105 Solar Lights among the beneficiaries of Dellar, Mughal Maidan and Chatroo.

District Officers, Sarpances including Haji Ghulam Qadir, Piyaray Lal Sharma, Gh Mohd Kohli, Ch Noor Din, Mohd Amin, Abdul Rashid Bhawani, Taraq Hussain, Gh Mohd Reshi, Daleep Kumar, Roshan Lal also accompanied MLA during the said tour.

Saroori distributed Rs 8.90 Lack among beneficiaries, visited Sarthal, Bhagra, Angara and Ghan.

Jammu: - Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori conduct extensive tour of Sarthal, Bhagra, Angara, Ghan and other area of Inderwal Constituency and distributed cheques amounting Rs 7.40 Lack among the beneficiaries of Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) and Rs 1.50 Lack among the beneficiaries of IHL. Saroori also inspected Hasti- Sarthal road project under CRF and directed the officers to complete the said road project within the stipulated time. He also review the shortage of teaching staff in various schools of Inderwal Constituency and directed CEO to detach all the said staff forthwith for smooth functioning of these school and also inspected MGNREGA work.

While addressing a public meeting at Sarthal he lauded the role of coalition government under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for giving fillip to the developmental activities of the state in various sector. He said that special instruction has been passed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to all the concerned authorities regarding the development of far flung and hilly areas of the state so that the problem pertaining to these areas are addressed in a shortest possible time.

Mr Saroori said several measures welfare schemes have already be put in place for economic upliftment of people living in these far flung areas. On the occasion he assured the people of Sarthal that the Primary Health Center (PHC) will be set up shortly for which proposal had already been submitted to the concerned authorities. En Route Sarthal, Bhagra, Angara and Ghan various deputation met Mr Saroori and where giving patient hearing and assured the deputations that there genuine grievances will be addressed on top priority.

Saroori expresses grief over tragic accident.

Kishtwar: Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori expressed grief and shock over the tragic accident in which Ten people were killed and three injured, when an ill fated Sumo fell into Deep gorge Near Dugga Saroor in Kishtwar District.

Saroori has conveyed his heart felt condolence to the family member of bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and early recovery to the injured persons.

He issued instructions to the doctors for taking extra care to the injured. He has demanded release of ex-gratia relief in favour of the family members of those who have lost their lives and compensation to the injured being treated in different hospitals

Saroori also demanded deployment of more SRTC buses in the hilly district besides undertaking strict checking of the vehicles plying on these roads besides imposing ban on use of mobile phones by the drivers.

Saroori hails successful test firing of Agni-5

JAMMU: Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori have hailed the successful test firing of Agni-5 missile.

Issuing a release to the press, Saroori congratulated the scientists of the country for their one of the highest achievements in successfully test firing Agni-5 Missile having a range of 5000 km.

With its successful launching, these scientists have brought the country in the category of top ranking nations in this field, Saroori maintained.

Armed with one of the most modern weaponry, our country can also raise its head sending a virtual message to enemies for not taking us lightly, Saroori said. Equipping forces with such lethal arsenal, the moral of our soldiers is multiplied and encouragement of highest order is generated, he added.

Saroori visit house of deceased, expresses grief, sorrow.

Srinagar:- Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori along with Youth Congress Leader from Srinagar Sheikh Amir Rasool, Senior Congress Leader Sarfaraz Khan visited the house of Syed Ahmed Ali Khan, 43, of Rajbagh in Srinagar, died after he accidentally slipped into a gorge at a road construction work, which was being executed by him at Gandoh-Darkia link road in Tehsil Gandoh on Monday morning.

Saroori expressed solidarity with the Syed family. He prayed to the Almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed soul beside a place for him in heaven. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss.

The deceased was brother of Deputy Commissioner Doda Farooq Khan and brother-in-law of MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani. He was also brother in law of Conservator Forests Manzoor Ahmad Tak.

Ghulam Nabi Azad addresses rally in Billawar.

Jammu: - Emphasizing on consolidating on gains of the present peaceful scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that it is of the utmost importance to put the state on the path of speedy development to fulfill dreams of the people. He said that in Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern States Centre has put in 90% share in different development projects.

Addressing a huge public rally in Billawar Tehsil of District Kathua in Jammu Division of Jammu and Kashmir Union Minister said that several welfare schemes have been launched in the state for the benefits of the people and priority is been given to health, education and Road and building sectors.

Azad said under his tenure as Chief Minister of J&K more than 1500 projects were started and it is very important for the present collation government to complete all the pending projects well within time so that their benefits should percolate to people at ground level. 

Stressing the need to empower panchayati raj institutions in J&K, Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said implementing the panchayat raj amendment act in the state will go a long way in this regard. 

"I appeal to government to empower it by implementing the panchayat raj amendment act in the state," he said at a rally here.

The state Congress has been demanding incorporation of the 73rd Constitution Amendment Act, 1992, in the state's Panchayati Raj Act to empower the rural local bodies.

The 73rd amendment provides for devolution of power and responsibilities to different tiers of panchayati raj institutions.

He said that various projects started during his tenure as chief minister are still pending and need to be completed.

The AICC leader said that Congress has two vacancies in the present coalition government in J&K. Azad, however, said that there is no need to build pressure on the coalition partner over this issue as they are not against it.

"When we put forth our deamand of cabinet berths, we will get it," he said and assured full suuport of the Congress to the Omar Abdullah government.

He described peace as important for development and stated that prevailing stability and peace should be exploited to the maximum in order to give boost to the developmental activities in the state.

"We want stability and peace in the state and Congress party will cooperate with coalition partner in maintaining it."

The Union Minister assured that healthcare infrastructure will be strengthened whereby new sub centres and trauma centres will be opened in the remote areas of Kathua district.

He also assured that funds will be provided for the upgradation of sub district hospital Billawar. He also sanctioned Rs 30 lakh from MPLAD for construction of stadium at Billawar.

The Union Health Minister said that pentavalent vaccine for child immunization will be introduced in J&K from this year which will reduce the number of vaccines to be administered to the child under child immunisation programme.

Azad also said that Union Health Ministry has launched a programme for BPL people where any person suffering from cancer or heart and kidney ailments can get free of cost treatment in any hospital of India.
