JAMMU, DECEMBER 04: Vice President J&K Congress, G. M Saroori today expressed shocked and disgust over the alleged gang rape and murder of the female veterinary doctor in Hyderabad and pressed for instant justice against such heinous crimes which bring shame to the country.

The event of rapes in our country, seems to be out of frustrations and to simply overpower, could be little girls or older women" and "till there is no instant justice, no matter which strata of society they may belong to this heinous act will continue," the Congress leader said.

Urged J&K LG to meet the required stock of Ration, fire wood and Kerosene oil

KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 29: - Expressing serious concern over the erratic power supply and scarcity of essential commodities including ration, sugar, Kerosene oil and LPG supplies in twin district of Doda and Kishtwar, Senior Congress leader and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said the Administration must ensure that people in Chenab Valley are not neglected and sufficient arrangements should be made during the ongoing winter season.

Mr. Saroori said the prevailing poor power supply has virtually left the life in the erstwhile Doda district out of gear and the people face tremendous hardships due non availability of ration, sugar, kerosene oil and LPG.

“In the freezing temperature the people have not only been deprived of ration, sugar, kerosene oil and LPG but the unscheduled power supply has added into their problems. Despite a huge hydroelectric potential, the state has been energy deficit for long and now when the cap on LPG cylinders has aggravated the situation, the authorities seem hardly bothered about the problems faced by the common people,” Saroori remarked.

Mr. Saroori said that unfortunately the same situation is being repeated every winter soon and the people of the area are left helpless. “People here are being devoid of basic amenities. No power schedule is being followed on ground and even metered areas are facing long and unscheduled power cuts much to the annoyance of public,” Mr. Saroori added that to meet the challenges of winter vagaries, Divisional Commissioner, secretaries, Directors of concerned departments, DDC’s, the higher ups in the administration need to ensure a better coordination between different departments especially those providing essential services.

The senior J&K Congress Leader also urged the LG J&K G. C Murmu to meet the required stock of Ration, fire wood and Kerosene oil in Chenab Valley in the ongoing winter season. He said there is immediate need for effective measures to bridge the gap between availability and consumption of electricity, and set up a dependable power delivery system in the State,” Saroori suggested.

Saroori condole demise of Mohd Din Qazi

Attended nimaz-e-jinazah at Phagsoo

PHAGSOO, NOVEMBER 28: - Former Minister J&K and Vice President JKPCC, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has deeply condoled the demise of a retired Forestor, Mohd Din Qazi, halling from Phagsoo village of sub-division Thathri who passed away after a brief illness in his native village.

Soon after hearing the news of Mohd Din Qazi’s death, Mr. Saroori visited the area where he attended the nimaz-e-jinazah of the deceased person which was attended by a large number.

In a condolence message, Mr. Saroori paid rich tributes to the deceased soul and lauded his services to the Forest department. He recalled his dedication and sense of responsibility towards his duty and the department.

Extending his deepest sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family, Mr. Saroori prayed to almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed soul, beside a place for him in a heaven. He further prayed to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear this irreparable loss.

SPO died after falling from hilltop while on patrolling duty

Kishtwar, November 23: In a tragic accident, a Special Police Officer (SPO) died after falling from a hilltop in Kuntwara area of Kishtwar District.

As per the details available, SPO identified by police sources as Rajesh Kumar (35 yrs) Son of Hem Raj Resident of Chalasoo while on patrolling duty died after he slip into 300 meter deep gorge in Kuntwara area falling under jurisdiction of police station Kishtwar.

As soon as senior police officials received an information about the incident, SHO police station Kishtwar and I/C police post Drabshalla immediately rush to the spot and after five long hour rescue operation which started from 9 PM Tuesday night till 2 AM today manage to recover the dead body of the deceased SPO.

The deceased SPO after conducting the autopsy was cremated in his native village.

Meanwhile Former Minister J&K, G. M Saroori expressed deep shock and grief over the death of SPO Rajesh Kumar.

He urged upon the government and senior police officials to provide full compensation to the family of the deceased cop beside a job for his wife so that she could take better care of her children. He also urged the administration for all possible help to the family members of the deceased SPO who scarified his life in the line of duty.

Mr. Saroori extends his condolences to the family of the deceased SPO and all colleagues. He also prayed the Almighty for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Imam Jamia calls for probe in Kishtwar snooping incident

Kishtwar, November 16: Chief clergy of Markazi Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, demanded high level probe into the Kishtwar snooping incident on Senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori wherein on Anshuman Rathore having close proximity with Hindu right wings was caught after he made an attempt to lure and threatened his domestic helpers asking them to provide details pertaining to Saroori and his family which included their traveling plans and other family activities, beside about the people visiting to his home.

In his Friday sermon, Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo said that these attempts are being made with the motive to derail the peaceful atmosphere in Kishtwar District. He said that the onus is on administration and Kishtwar Police to look into this sensitive matter whether the men in question has such motives that can lead to communal disharmony  or clashes in Kishtwar District which has a past history of such things. 

He ask all the government agencies to convey his message to the government about the resentment among the community about these types of incident added that in case anything untoward incident happened, the onus will be on government and the administration.

Demand d investigation into the matter through NIA

Jammu November 14: Kishtwar Police today arrested a self styled student leader and drop out from Government Degree College Kishtwar for luring domestic helpers of Senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori to recce his, his family members  activities and promised them a job and huge cash in return.

The accused arrested by the Kishtwar Police as Anshuman Rathore. His arrest comes after Kishtwar police register an FIR No.256/2019 U/S 451/506 IPC following the complaint filled by the Congress leader.

Speaking in a jam packed press conference at his residence, G. M Saroori said that the accused person few days back approached him for seeking a job in JP company to which Mr. Saroori informed him that such jobs are not available there and then he returned added that in the evening the said accused was seen hobnobbing around his house along with a motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK17-6949 by posing himself as police personal. He said that he also tried to enter the house and try to lure his servants by offering cash to the tune of Rs. 30 lakhs and job. 

Mr. Saroori said that the accused told his servants to provide all the details related to him to the accused including timing of his leaving the home, arrival at home, the people visiting his home, colour of his vehicle and other relevant details pertaining to his children and other family members. 

He said that this is an attempt to eliminate the Congress leadership added that the government has already withdrawn his and other senior leaders and demanded investigation into the matter through NIA. 

The senior Congress Leader urged upon the Lt. Governor G C Murmu to look into the matter. He said that the accused person also intimidated his servants that he was involved in framing his brother innocently in a militancy related case. He said that he came to know all this today morning after listening hue and cry added that on inquiring into the matter from servants, the whole saga comes fore. He said that his servants were threatened by him added that when he was caught hold, some police personals comes immediately to his rescue. He said that he was informed that the accuse has allegiance with ABVP and RSS 

Speaking to Media, one of the servant of Congress leader said that the accused after threatening him took him to Kishtwar Chowgan ground after repeatedly calling him on his mobile phone and narrated what senior Congress leader narrated earlier.

G. M Saroori grieved over the loss of precious lives

Kishtwar, October 13: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President and Former Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed shock and deep grief over the loss of two precious lives in a tragic accident which took place on Friday at Bhagra on Karool-Sarthal road in Kishtwar district some 40 kms away from the district headquarter.

After hearing the news Mr. Saroori who was in Kishtwar rushed to the district hospital Kishtwar to see the condition of the injured ones, “My heart goes out to the families of those who have lost their dear ones in an unfortunate accident”, Mr. Saroori said while expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, praying for strength to them to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls.

Mr. Saroori has urged Governor J&K Satya Pal Malik and his administration to take effective steps to check road accidents and pass the directions to the traffic department to take adequate and stringent measures to check the recurrence of road accidents. He also urged the Governor to provide adequate ex-gratia relief of Rs. 10 lakhs each in favour of the deceaseds family members.

A cruiser vehicle bearing no jk17-7075, ferrying 16 passengers fell into deep george. They were then taken to the DHK where doctors declared two passengers namely Kamlesh Kumar son of Dharam Singh, Pardeep Kumar son of Surjeet Kumar both resident of Paar Bhagra, Sarthal in tehsil and district Kishtwar as dead and 4 injured shifted to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
