Saroori conclude tour of Inderwal constituency.


  MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori conduct 6 days extensive tour of Inderwal constituency. While addressing a public gathering at Chatroo, he said that government is committed to ensure equitable development of all the areas of the State, adding that focused attention is being given to unattended areas. Priority of the Govt is to provide basic amenities to the people besides improving the existing infrastructure in rural and hilly areas of the State, he said and added that peace is imperative for development and appealed to the people to extend their cooperation to the executing agencies in implementing development programmes. Special attention is being given to improve the education, power, health and road. Referring to the problems of the locals, MLA directed the concerned authorities to address all the problems being faced by the people. .Saroori also demanded that on spot Recruitment in police by authorities for the youths of area. He also stressed upon the authorities to check the menace of overloading and also take steps to curb the traffic mess to avoid Road accidents. Saroori also distributed cheques amounting to Rs 8 lakh among 40 beneficiaries under centrally sponsored Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) at Chatroo. Saroori also visited the bereaved families of Sh.Maqbool Hussain wani (MPW) and Ghulam Mohd Ganaie who got killed in a traggic accident at Synthan Top Officers of various department accompanied the MLA.

EC for payment of MGNREGA wages through cheques.

Estimates Committee (EC) of Legislative Assembly has asked the concerned authorities to make payment of wages for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), CDS and MPLAD works to the engaged workers through pays account cheques or invoice and  furnish the action taken report to the Committee within a week’s time.

The Committee, which met here under the chairmanship of MLA G.M Saroori, said that the payment of wages through cheques would enforce transparency in the system and make it sure that the workers get their dues well in time.
 
The meeting held a threadbare discussion on various issues including last year’s report of the Committee, relief to the drought affected farmers and damages caused due to flood in Jammu region during last summer session.
 
It was decided that the committee would meet on every Thursday to examine and review the working of various departments. The meeting also decided that the committee would conduct on the spot inspection of completed and ongoing projects in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch from 10th December.
 
The committee recommended for providing three months free ration to the areas of the State where the crops suffered 60 to 80 per cent damages due to long dry spells this year. The committee observed   that the survey conducted by the Revenue Department has already confirmed that many areas suffered more than sixty per cent crop damage due to the draught like situation.
 
Legislators, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Ch. Zulfikar Ali, Subash Chander Gupta and Indoo Pawar gave their suggestions to improve the working of the committee.

10 teachers suspended for remaining absent from duties.




Acting on the strong resentment showed by MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori absenteeism culture in education department, Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Sh. Ajeet Kumar Sharma on Saturday place 10 teachers under suspension for remaining absent from his duties. Official statement stated that 10 teachers and Masters were suspended for remaining absent from duties which includes Bodh Raj (Master),Mohammad Ayub Keen(Teacher), Mohammad Shafi Keen(Teacher),Nazrana Begum(Teacher),Mohammad Ashraf Butt (Teacher),Abdul Hamid Malik (Teacher) all from HS Patnazi, Mr.Altaf  Hussain Keen (Teacher) PS Bhawaran and Gh.Rasool Keen(teacher), Manzoor Ahmed Keen (Teacher) and Muzaffar Hussain Keen (Teacher) all from GPS Patnazi . The CEO action comes in response to the visit of MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, who during his visit to these schools on Thursday found them locked. The local people told the visiting MLA that all the teachers remains absent most of the time and according on the instance of Mr. Saroori, CEO today visited these schools and found them lock today as well. General public of Bhunzwah hails the efforts of Honorable MLA and action taken by CEO Kishtwar.

Saroori seek strigent action against absentee teachers.

Taking strong notice of absenteeism in schools, MLA, Inderwal, Mr. G. M. Saroori has sought stringent action against the absent teachers. 

The Legislator during his surprise inspection of GPS, Ikhwa Patnazi, GMS Banwarah, GPS Patnazi and GHS Patnazi found these government educational institutions closed with staff posted there playing truancy.

Mr. Saroori also talked to Director School Education, Jammu asking him to take stern action against the erring teachers to save the student community from the dark future. 

The Legislator said that it was irony of sorts that teachers are not discharging their duties with responsibility. “We can’t afford negligent behavior of teachers as government is focused on promoting literacy and developing younger generation as capable and enlightened citizens”, he observed.

JKWDC organized awareness program at Mugalmaidan Kishtwar.










Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Development Corporation organized an awareness camp at Mughalmaidan, Tehsil, Chatroo on Thursday in which women’s belonging to SC/ST, OBC and BPL were aware about various Government run schemes. They were given awareness about various schemes like NMDFC, NHFDC, NBCFDC, Education Loan and ESW and Micro Credit etc. They were motivated to take opportunity and avail loan facilities on a nominal interest from the Corporation and set up their own income generating units.
The gathering was addressed by the MLA Inderwal G M Saroori, RK Shavan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar, Shri Jugal Bhandari, Shri Altaf Malik, Shri Abdul Ghani Malik and the officials of the Corporation. Mr. Saroori stressed upon the women flocks to fill up the loan forms and take opportunity for loaning facilities from the Corporation under various schemes highlighted by the Women’s Development Corporation.
At last the organizers offered thanks to the participants who had participated in the Awareness camp.

Saroori showers praise on selected candidates for making Kishtwar proud.

J&K SC & ST retired employees forum honored IAS/IFS/KAS selectees of Kishtwar.

Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori laurels the success of newly selected IAS/IFS/KAS from Kishtwar and said that the success of large number of youths including females in service selection examination is a matter of proud and dignity for the people of Kishtwar District. Saroori was expressing his view during a function organized by all J & K SC/ST retired employees’ forum for welfare of under privilege unit Kishtwar at multipurpose hall of Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar. While addressing the gathering Mr. Saroori greets all the 24 candidates who qualified in prestigious civil service examination and said that the success is good sign for future generation of Kishtwar District. He said that earlier it was difficult for them to find local officers from Kishtwar, but said that the situation is now entirely different. Mr. Saroori said that he was of the opinion that local youths can serve in local areas better than the outsider since the local youths were already familiar with the area as well as with the problem. He said that he feels immense pleasure to became the part of today’s function in which he gets an opportunity to meet with illumines of Kishtwar District that makes the people of Kishtwar proud. He also shows his happiness our success of 24 years old Shahzad Kabir, the son of Saroori’s late friend Abdul Kabir Mattoo. Mattoo remains paralyzed for almost 18 years before he (Mattoo) died last year. Mr. Saroori said that success of Syed Sehresh Asgar who beg first position in recently declared KAS results along with success of other candidates will set an example for next generation and hoped that more youths from Kishtwar District in future make the people of Kishtwar proud with their success.

Saroori greets people on EID.

MLA Inderwal G M Saroori has greeted the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha. He hoped the auspicious day would be harbinger of peace and prosperity for the state.

In his greetings message, Saroori said “the happiness of the day would get redoubled if it is shared with needy and poor. They deserve special care and affection from affluent on such day. Compassion is always rewarded by Allah “, he added.

Saroori said that Eid also provides opportunity to strengthen the bonds of love and amity. Its gaiety and fervor should spread the message of brotherhood to all, he said.

Saroori offered Eid Nimaz at Sarthal Eidgah in which more than 2000 people from Sarthal area and its adjoining places participated. Saroori also throw light on the sacrifices of prophet Ibrahim about Qurbani.

Duni Chand Sharma thanked Ghulam Nabi Azad for sanctioning 50 lakhs from his MPLAD funds to Adarsh Balniketan School Kishtwar on request of G M Saroori.

MLA inderwal G M Saroori today presided over the annual function of Adrash Balniketan School. He said that the candle of rich heritage of communal harmony and amity in Kishtwar was kept burning by the two educational institutions i.e Adrash Balnikeetan and Islamia Faridia School that is why the whole area remained safe from the ravages of communal tensions. Both the institutions are spreading their fragrance in the region he said that both of them need to be kept away from politics and narrow and vested interests. He said the institutions need to be run on scientific and religious pattern so that along with spiritual upliftment the children may also compete in other fields.

“Present ear is the era of computer science and Information Technology and keeping in view such things we accordingly need to upgrade the standard of educational institutes in Kishtwar District.”Saroori added. He said that not only he but the people of Kishtwar District feel immense pleasure over the recent success of Kishtwar youths in IAS and KAS examination. He said that there is a need that people should generously donate to community institutes like ABN and IFHS. He said that strengthening of Kishtwar University will be a vital for promotion of education in Kishtwar District. He said that instead of restricting the University Campus in 100-200 Kanal of land, we must look into it at broader vision and choose such place for Kishtwar University Campus where there is a wide scope of its expansion in future.  He said that as far as construction of Kishtwar University Campus, he would like that both he and MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo will work together so that a suitable location could be identified for its establishment.
 
Saroori  also took a dig at some  communal forces who were making hue and cry on sarthal Devi he said with his efforts h begot done tilling of the Sarthal Devi premises and also got Road constructed to the Mandir which was in shambles for the last 66 years. Also he said that a saraie has been constructed by his effort. Also he said in Sarthal 22 kanals of land has been acquired for the construction of parking to mitigate the problems of the pilgrims of sarthal Devi besides widening of road to four lane. He also spoke thread bare on the Eco-Tourism,Pilgrim-Tourism and General tourism.

Vice Chairman Matta Sarthal Devi trust and Congress general secretary Jughal Bhandari  in his address thanked G N Azad  Union minister for Health and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori for their consistent effort for the development of school and the Chenab region.

Meanwhile Head of the management of ABN High School Kishtwar Duni Chand Sharma expressed his thanks to Mr. Saroori for spearing his value able time to attend today’s function. Also Sharma thanked Union Minister for Health G N Azad for sanctioning 50 lakh on MLA Inderwal request for construction of another Building in the premises of the school.
