Over 200 BJP workers join Congress at Tagood Kishtwar.

Kishtwar May 31:- Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori during his visit to Tagood Panchayat of Kishtwar District inspect various developmental works including the progress of construction of Dadpath-Tagood road constructed under PMGSY.

During his visit of Tagood release an amount of Rs. 50000/ out of his Constituency Development Fund for construction of Passenger shed at Tagood, besides he also release an amount of Rs. 1 lac for Construction/up gradation of Ram Lilla ground. During his visit Mr. Saroori also inspect the progress of construction of Dadpath-Tagood road and held a series of meeting with the local people so as to clear some bottle necks aroused due to some private disputes over land acquired for construction of the said road. After soughing out the despite among various parties, Saroori instructed the officials of PMGSY to expedite the construction work so that the road project could be finished without any further delay.

On this occasion more than 200 BJP workers joins Congress party in presence of Mr. Saroori including Raj Kumar, Babu Ram, Sikandar Singh, Satish Kumar, Jughal Kishore, Chuni Lal, Puran Chand, Lal Chand and others. Mr Saroori Welcomed all the people who had joined congress party and said that the joining has strengthened the party and that they will jointly work for the development of the area.

Altaf Malik, Piyare Lal Sharma, Seva Ram, Bidya Lal, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh and Abdul Latief Shah beside officers of various government departments accompanied Mr Saroori during his tour.

Saroori conduct extensive tour of Bhalesh area. Releases 12 Lack for various developmental work out of his Constituency Developmental Funds.

Kishtwar, 30 May: - Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori visited Bathri, Dagroon and Khara area of Bhalesha and took stock of various ongoing developmental schemes. Saroori also address public meetings at Bathri and Dagroon the public shows concern over the poor performance of Rural Development Department especially in MGNREGA where only 8 lack payments has been made against the labour budget of 60 lack, MLA Inderwal issued direction to District Administration for immediate inquiry. 


Saroori while taking the stock of electric department some hamlets fiends UN electrified to mitigate this situation he releases Rs 10 lack out of his Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for electrification of Garmalon, Tass Mohallah, Lone Pura, Malik Mohallah and Kuvli Pura. He also releases Rs 1 Lack for repair and renovation of destroyed roof of Higher School Lower Bathri which got damaged due to blowing winds. He also releases 1 Lack out of his CDF for purchase of 10 no Sintex Tanks each 1000 Liters.


While addressing large gathering at Khara area public brought various issues in his notice especially slow progress of ongoing works of Road construction Khara Tanta, Goila, Tharankle, and on spot he issues a direction to Executive Engineer to pace up the work complete these ongoing work on time. Saroori assured public that these projects would be completed well in time so that general public could be got benefited. He also announces that Drinking scheme has also been sanctioned for Hamlet, Kanoon and Bathri to store the drinking water in these areas. Saroori stress upon the public to strengthen the hands of coalition government and take the benefits of ongoing welfare schemes without party project.

Saroori called on CM, demands special recruitment for Inderwal constituency.


Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori today called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Srinagar and demanded special recruitment drive for Inderwal constituency of Kishtwar District.

In a press statement issued here today, Saroori during his meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah demanded special recruitment for unemployed youths of Chatroo, Mughal Maidan, Sarthal, Bunzwah, Kuntwara and Bhalesa area of Inderwal Constituency.

Saroori also took up the matter of delay in clearance of 46 ReT panels of Chatroo Education zone stuck in the office of Director School Education since last six months. Mr. Saroori informed the honorable Chief Minister regarding the problems faced by the student community due to shortage of staff in their schools. He also demanded for filling of vacant post of Chief Education Officer Kishtwar with immediate effect so that the matter pertaining to functioning of education department could be redressed.

During his meeting with Chief Minister, Saroori also stress for early start of work on power projects like Pakal-Dool, Budsar, Kwar, Kerru, Rattle, Karthati and Dool-Hasti II so that the unemployed youths of Kishtwar will get job opportunities in these power project.

Saroori expressed his thanks to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for releasing funds to the tune of Rs. 1.50 Cr. for Dunadi-Bhunzwah road, Kurya-keshwan road and importantly Sangpora road. He also expressed his thanks to Omar Abdullah over announcement of 3 months free ration to the people of erstwhile Doda District.

Omar is committed for upliftment of education standard in rural areas: - Saroori

School students today held a demonstration and stopped the convoy of Former Minister and Congress MLA Inderwal G M Saroori in protest against shortage of teaching staff in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Students of High School and Middle School, Tagod, in Kishtwar district staged the protest when Saroori's convoy was on its way to Chatroo to attend a function.

The agitating students joined by village sarpanch and local people blocked Kishtwar-Srinagar national highway at Dadpath and shouted slogans against the Education department.

Later, the Saroori interacted with the students who told him that only four teachers are posted in the high school and the middle school in Tagod for nearly 350 students.

The students said that among the four teachers posted in both school, only two or three teachers attended the school on alternative basis.

Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa of Tagod Sewa Ram told the MLA that the irrigation department is using sub-standard material for construction of water reservior at Tagod and demanded action against the department and the contractor executing the work.

Saroori assured the students that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed for upliftment of education standard in rural areas and assured them that he will submit a detailed report pertaining to shortage of teaching staff at Tagod school to government.

Forests as a natural gift bestowed by the Almighty Allah on the people of the universe: Saroori

In order to aware the people about the importance of forests in human life, Marwah Forest Division of Kishtwar District today organized forest awareness camp at Udil Range of Chatroo in Kishtwar District. The forest awareness camp which was presided over by MLA Inderwal Ghulam Muhammad Saroori was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik, ACR Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Sarpanches, Panches and by over 5000 local people of Chatroo Tehsil.

In his welcome address DFO Marwah forest Division Dr. Anand high lights various programs taken by the forest department for prevention of forest in Kishtwar District. In his address, Dr. Anand stress for public cooperation for forest protection. He said that without people cooperation forest could not be saved.

Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori in his public address termed the forests as a natural gift bestowed by the Almighty Allah on the people of the universe. He said that it was due to greedy nature of human beings who are hell bent to destroy the forest wealth that ecological balance has been disturbed. He said that due to large scale cutting of green gold, the lands are becoming barren as a result of which the animals living in forest have become homeless which ultimately leads to increase in man animal conflict.

Saroori informed the people about the global change that has been taken place due to large scale cutting of trees. He said that it was due to cutting of green gold, the weather in many parts of the world has witnessed tremendous change. He said that it was due to climatic change Kishtwar District witnessed snowfall in many areas in the month of May this year. He urged the people not to damage the forest wealth and also urged the Sarpanches and Panches of the area to play an important role in preservation of forest wealth. He also directed DFO Marwah to organize more such camps in other areas falling under his jurisdiction.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik in his address urged up on the people to plant more and more tress so that the environment could be prevented from further degradation. He said that due to large scale cutting of green trees, Honorable Supreme Court of India finally decided to impose blanket ban on cutting of green trees. He told the people to approach forest department for their requirement so that the forest department will provide them the wood as per the norms set by the honorable court as well as by the respective government.
In the end Range Officer Udil Altaf Hussain Shah presented the vote of thanks with the hope that people in general and Sarpanches and Panches in particular will help the forest department in moving forward with his mission in terms of preservation of forests in Kishtwar District.

Saroori called on Azharuddin Former Indian Cricket Captain.

Former Minister & MLA Inderwal G. M. Saroori called on the former Indian Cricket Captain and Member of Parliament Sh. Azharuddin. During the hour long interaction Mr. Saroori requested the former Indian Cricket Captain to come to the J&K State especially in the erstwhile District Doda to inculcate and nurture the cricketing talent of the young boys living in these far flung areas. 

Saroori also reiterated his full support and co-operation to Mr. Azharuddin in promoting the sports activities and assured every possible help would be extended to him, if he undertakes the endeavor.

Saroori congratulates IAS qualifiers from JK.

Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori congratulated the candidates hailing from the state who by their brilliant performance in the IAS exams brought laurels for the state.

In a statement issued here, Saroori said this will inspire the youth of state to prepare them for any competitive examination adding that this has proved that our youth have tremendous potential achieve anything.

“I am delighted to salute them at their selection for the IAS. I understand that they all have studied under the most difficult circumstances but they have proved once again that the youth of J&K are the most talented people. They have made the State proud; I and millions of people who are celebrating your magnificent success.” These young entrants to the IAS have shown that we have talented people from every corner of the state.
Terming their selection as a good omen he said that this will involve the youth in major decisions for the betterment and progress of the state as well. They deserve all the praise but a special mentions should be of Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar from Kishtwar since she has broken the shackles and this will inspire many young girls to come forward and join the ranks of distinguished bureaucrats, not only her but the credit goes to her family for her marvelous achievement.

Peace imperative for over all development: Saroori

Jammu - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori said that peace is imperative for the integration, prosperity and execution of all the development plans in the State for which the people of all walks of life must cooperate with the government. The MLA was addressing the public gathering at Thatri on Tuesday. The MLA appealed to all sections of the society to come forward and extend their cooperation for maintaining peace and tranquility in the State.
He further said that the Coalition Government is committed for equal progress of the three regions Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir of the State. He mentioned that Central Government is providing funds to the State wholeheartedly to ensure speedy development in the state. Lauding the secular credentials of the State Saroori said that communal elements have no place in India and neither they have any chance to grow up in the State.
He also distributed cheques amounting Rs 15 Lack among Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) beneficiaries at Thatri.

Congress gears up for local body election: Saroori

Kishtwar;- Saroori addressed the congress worker meeting at Thatri Dag Bunglow in which he asked the workers to gear up for upcoming Local Body election which will be held in June-July. He further said that development would be target of the party.

In the meeting Saroori condole the said demise of Mother of Secretary Congress Block Chatroo Sajjad Hussain who passed away on Monday. Saroori also condole Tanveera Begum, 22, wife of Firdous Ahmed Rishi resident of Deller in Chatroo Tehsil died after her foot touches with the snapped electric wire of Power Development Department fallen outside her residence. The deceased woman while coming out from her home got electrocuted with the HT wire.
Saroori has conveyed his heart felt condolence to the family members of the deceased and also prayed for eternal peace of departure souls. He also demanded Rs 5 lakhs as ex-gratia to the next kin of deceased persons.

He deman ded that power distribution system should remove defunct, rotten wooden poles, plants and trees are use proper iron poles for erecting live wires.
On the occasion Sarfraz Khan (Gillu), Asgar Khangi, Iqbal Teli, Mansoor Ahmed, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Razzak Hussain, Hasham, Master Sirwal, Akhtar Hussain and others attended the meeting.
