Saroori hails Rahul Gandhi's decision to play greater role in party.

Would like to see Rahul Gandhi as PM

Srinagar: Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori has welcomed Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's decision to play a greater role in the party and national affairs.
Rahul Gandhi had on Thursday formally announced that he would now play a more active role in the party and the government. "I will play a more active role in party and the government. The final decision is up to the Congress leadership," he said.
Though the decision of Gandhi has come late, he said he welcomed the step and said he wants the Congress party to contest general elections under his leadership and would like to see Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister after 2014 General Elections,” he said in a statement.
He said those who know Rahul closely will agree that his method of political governance is direct, transparent and thoroughly political and that he does not accept factionalism.

Saroori also praised Gandhi for his intellectual personality and as a 'magnet' for the nation's youth.
