Congress led constituencies ignored on all fronts by Omar government.

Stepmother treatment with Congress constituencies..???

Saroori addresses party workers at Thathri

Doda, May 23: - Former Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori addresses impressive party workers meet at Thathri Dak Bunglow.

While addressing Saroori alleged that National Conference have ignored the massive destruction caused by a recent earthquake in Jammu's Doda region, where the Congress has a reasonably strong presence. When protests broke out in Doda, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad visited the ravaged area and ensured relief and rehabilitation work after talking to the Prime Minister.

The Congress in Jammu and Kashmir wants to sever ties with alliance partner National Conference and fight the 2014 Assembly elections alone. "Our party cadres are upset as the National Conference has tried to feed pockets where it has influence instead of ensuring the overall development of the state," “Autonomy is publicity stunts to lure the people to vote for the party. I call it emotional blackmail of the common masses", said senior Congress leader G M Saroori.

He said by sending a group of leaders from National Conference in Chenab valley they are just trying to play politics & nothing and wants to firm hold their footings as it is congress dominant area.

Saroori said that it has been observed that during the past 5 years government started various special police recruitment drives that too in NC dominating constituencies and has always deceived its ally by just assuring that recruitment rally will also be done in congress constituencies beside all the congress legislature’s raised the issue of special recruitment drive on the floor of the assembly and also meet several time with Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah but each and every time we just got assurance from Omar Abdullah led government and nothing.

While citing to the example Mr. Saroori said that in Chenab valley recruitment was just organized in Kishtwar constituency that too at 3 places and hundreds of SPO’s have recruited last month without any norms because MLA belongs from NC and in other 5 constituencies of Chenab Valley not a single such drive was organized.

In the last Assembly session Omar Abdullah have asked the members of the House to prefer their demands to the Government in writing for setting up of fire-fighting stations despite putting forth the demand for setting up of fire stations in Congress constituencies government paid no heed in Congress led constituencies and last month two fire stations were established that too at block level Patimhal and Paddar and ours being a tehsil is not having fire station “if this is not discrimination than what is discrimination”, Saroori added.

He said so called leaders from NC who visited Chenab Valley are also MLA’s they knows that those who are having Job cards and did their work on ground will get payment under MGNREGA and said MLA had no role in distributing ration among people and said according to the report given by CAPD department Kishtwar every family is getting ration as per scale. National Conference called this good governance and a golden era of development what a joke.

He added NC so called leaders are baffled by seeing the support of congress in Erstwhile district Doda beside said it is due to NC the Inderwal constituency had remained backward. Congress is representing people of Inderwal constituency from 2002 and people have seen lots of difference in development since 2002 and said he (Saroori) had submitted proposal to centre government to electrify the left out un-electrified villages under RGGVY.

“This is the reason the people must take a stand in future not to support people and parties that have given them trouble and problems”. He said, “They are not good at heart and have always nursed their self-interests”.

While taking in hand to National Conference Saroori said state government of Jammu and Kashmir has failed to provide relief to the earthquake victims. To hide their failures they (National Conference) are now making false allegations. He said brother of NC supremo Mustafa Kamal should use his mind before leveling such false allegations. Till date only 4 no tents has been provided to each panchayats only, so what type of embezzled in the relief meant for earthquake victims of erstwhile Doda district. People of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected Autonomy if NC is serious on Kashmir matter why can’t they are bringing on the floor of Assembly. Saroori said he knows that NC can’t because Autonomy has lost its creditability already.

Congress is in the heart and blood of the people of Erstwhile district Doda. It is not run by money. The enemies are waiting for an opportunity to pounce on our people but we must not give them that opportunity. The enemies want to break our support and unity among people but they will not succeed.

We are thankful to Center government for releasing Rs 334 crore for the victims on the request of our renowned leader Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad but money was withheld by Centre due to Non-Submission of Utilization Certificate (UC) by state. Moreover state government have announced only 25 crores on 6th May 2013 has not released the amount yet. Now they are saying that money is not for victims but as routine funds and will be utilized in whole state, Saroori added.

Mr. Saroori was accompanied by ADC Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan, BDO Chatroo Semma Parihar, Tehsildar Chatroo Mohsin Ahanger, Dy SP Syed Majeed, Xen R & B Mohammad Ashraf Gilkar, Xen PMGSY Thusoo, Principle ITI Zahoor Mattoo, ZEO Chatroo Subash and other sectoral officer, Sarpanches, Panches and people in large were present on the occasion.
