Implement decisions taken in DDB meetings: Saroori



9 out of 16 DTs repaired in Inderwal

Srinagar: - The EM&RE pision, Kishtwar has taken over 41 Distribution Transformers (DT) out of 63 installed by the contractor in Inderwal constituency while 9 damaged DTs stand repaired out of 16 damaged and 7 DT are in the process of repairs with the contractor.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Power, Mr. Vikar Rasool while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by MLA Inderwal Mr. G. M. Saroori in the Legislative Assembly.

The Minister said that for adherence to approved standards, the material used in RGGVY schemes including transformers is inspected at different stages from manufacturing to installation at site.

Besides, there is a three tier inspection mechanism for adherence to standards as per the guidelines of the scheme by a team of qualified, expert and senior level engineers from National Power Training Institute New Delhi Water and Power Consultancy Services Haryara (WAPCOS), a Government of India undertaking as Third Party an Inspection.

Mr. G.M. Saroori also sought implementation of decisions taken in various DDB meetings, with special mention of establishment of new health centres in his area.
