One died, 8 Bharati injured in Kishtwar accident.
Srinagar, Oct 07: - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed grief and shock over the tragic accident near Thathri in which one person died and 8 other got injured.
“The mishap occurred when a Xylo vehicle bearing No: JK17-1658 meet with an accident near Thathri, district Doda. The ill-fated vehicle was carrying Bharat and was on its way from Phagumar to Thathri when the driver of the vehicle lost his control over the vehicle and plunged it into 50 feet deep gorge. Among the nine passengers on board, Kajal Devi (22 yrs) daughter of Munshi Ram resident of Sarthal died on spot.
Conveying his condolences Saroori expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Saroori issued instructions to the doctors of District Hospital Kishtwar for taking extra care to the injured and ensuring all possible treatment to the injured. Those injured in the accident should be provided free of cost medical treatment, he added. He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the accident.
He regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives.
Saroori urged the government to take safety measures on this hilly and tough road to avoid further damage to the human life in future.
He also condole the sudden demise of Ex-Tehsildar Kishtwar Bej Nath Thakur of Dachhan Kishtwar who died after brief illness at the age of 68 yrs
