Only Congress party can improve the basic amenities of the people of JK: Saroori

 
 
Will discuss all the critical and chronic issues in the upcoming DDB meeting

Kishtwar, June 28: - Congress party is seized of the problems of the people living in far flung areas adding big development plans was formulated for the upliftment and development of the people living in far flung areas during Congress regime. He said that only Congress party can improve the basic amenities of the people of the State and is committed.

This was said by Vice President JKPCC Mr. G. M. Saroori-(MLA Inderwal) in a public meeting here at Chingam area of sub-division Chatroo.

“To connect all unconnected villages with each other through a road network is high on his agenda”, Saroori said and appealed people to extend full cooperation to executing agencies in the completion the development projects started under R&B, JKPCC, PMGSY and other Sectors in their respective area.

He said the people of the State, particularly living in border areas have suffered a lot in 90’s of unrest in the state and UPA I and UPA II have succeeded in setting peace in all the regions of J&K. “The people of all the three regions have to further work jointly to consolidate peace and strengthen brotherhood among the people” Mr. Saroori said and adding peace is the Congress party slogan and prosperity our goal.

Saroori said that people have understand everything and are wise enough to compare the Congress tenure and the present dispensation and appeal to the people to reject the communal forces in the country, adding the secular charter of the Congress party is appreciated everywhere on national and internal level. He said the composite culture from 2002-2014 of the State was an example for the people of States.

Regarding the engagement of laborers and mate in the GREF; Saroori said that after his request to state government for transferring the prestigious road Kishtwar-Sinthan road to GREF, the proposal has been sent to Union Government and is contemplating to hand over the road of National Highway 1B to General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) again, so that road will be maintain in a good way and he hope that centre government would also sanction Rs 324 crores project for the maintenance of Kishtwar-Sinthan road.

He also said that 1,000 laborers which were working on Kishtwar Sinthan road from the last 20 years with GREF, the same labourers and mate will again be engaged with 118 RCC GREF who is supposed to maintain the Kishtwar-Sinthan top roads.

Public of Sub-Division Chatroo have complaint Mr. Saroori about adulteration of floor and demanded re-verification of BPL ration cards, Old age pension cases. Mr. Saroori assured the general public that BPL ration cards, old age pension cases in the area would be got re-verified so that the benefit could reach to the deserving people.

He further said that supply of floor from Udhampur store is full of adulteration the people are not getting nutrition’s that’s why our children’s are facing malnutrition problem and are easily prey to vulnerable diseases”, Saroori said and added that he has taken the matter with Minister for CAPD and in that meeting it was decided the people will get wheat instead of floor.

Saroori also said that he has already made a detailed list of critical and chronic issues which people of Inderwal Assembly segment are facing and he will discussed in the upcoming District Development Board meeting scheduled on 4th of July for seeking remedies.

Saroori congratulates students who shine in JKCET 2015

Due credit must go to the student, family members and faculties for their hard work

Kishtwar, June 23: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today extended his greeting to all the successful candidates of Kishtwar and Doda districts who qualified the Jammu and Kashmir common entrance test (JKCET) 2015.

Saroori said that the qualified students have not only brought laurels to their families, schools, areas but to whole District Kishtwar and Doda by achieving success in this year JKCET and got selected for MBBS, BDS and Engineering. “I would like to congratulate all the students who qualified the competitive exams, but due credit must go to the student for their hard work and faculties and also to family members, schools”, said Saroori in a congratulatory message.

Saroori had a special appreciation for Zahoor Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed Beigh who belongs to a remote village Singpore Chatroo, district Kishtwar.

As per JKCET 2015 result, Bakhtiyaar Ahanger son of Muhammad Ali Ahanger and Zahoor Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed Beigh got selected for MBBS. Beside these two youths, Basit Ali, Aqib Suhail, Nayar Sajjad Butt son of Sajjad Butt and Chahat Masoom daughter of Irshad Ahmed Mir also brought laurels to Kishtwar and Doda Districts by qualifying prestigious JKCET entrance.

Make Kishtwar, Doda part of smart cities project: Saroori to state government



Kishtwar, June 25: - Vice President J&K PCC Mr. G. M. Saroori (MLA Inderwal) has asked the state government to include Kishtwar and Doda in its ambitious project of setting up more smart cities across the Jammu and Kashmir.

"In view of twin districts of Chenab Valley region having unique geographical condition, its environmental concerns and scattered population, the state government must also add the hilly and mountainous part of J&K state in the ambitious scheme," Saroori said in a meeting here at Kishtwar.

‘Nearly twenty lakhs people visits every year in Kishtwar and Doda pilgrims which includes Ziarat Shah sahib, Ziarat Farid-Ud-Din Sahib, Hazrat Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib, Chandi Mata temple, Hatta Wali Mata, Sarthal Devi temple, Athara Bhuja Devi temple, many Masjids, Temples, Madrasas besides many tourist spots including Sinthan Top, Bangar, Chatroo, Mugalmaidan, Bharat, Marmat, Bhaderwah, Chinta Valley, Seoj Meadow, and Bhal Padri, in the twin districts apart from normal tourists attracted by the beauty of Bhaderwah, Bhalessa, Kishtwar and Doda”, Saroori said and added that government must include Kishtwar and Doda in the scheme of setting of more smart cities as smart cities mission intends to promote adoption of smart solutions for efficient use of available assets, resources and infrastructure. A city equipped with basic infrastructure to give a decent quality of life, a clean and sustainable environment through application of some smart solutions.

He said that it will also assure water and electricity supply, sanitation and solid waste management, efficient urban mobility and public transport, robust IT connectivity, e-governance and citizen participation, safety and security of citizens.

Saroori further added that Kishtwar and Doda has lot of importance from tourism and religious point of view and hoped that the Government would realize the aspirations of more than 10 lakhs people residing in the twin districts at the earliest and include Kishtwar and Doda in its ambitious project of setting up more smart cities across the J&K.

Saroori urged govt to take safety measures on hilly and tough road



One died on Thathri-Kilhotran road

Kishtwar, June 21: - Vice President J&K PCC Mr. G. M. Saroori-(MLA Inderwal) today expressed grief and shock over the tragic accident near Bathri subdivision Thathri in which one person died.

The mishap occurred when the Alto car bearing registration number JK06-8183 was on its way from Thatri to Kilhotran, skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge near Bathri Tehsil Kahara, resulting into death of Danish, son of Swami Raj of Swara resident of tehsil Gandoh district Doda. 

Conveying his condolence Saroori expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. 

He regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives. 

Saroori urged the government to take safety measures on this hilly and tough road to avoid further damage to the human life in future. He has also demanded release of Rupees five lakhs as ex-gratia relief in favour of the family members of the deceased.

Bunjwah (Kishtwar), June 13: - Vice president JKPCC Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Saroori-(MLA Inderwal) undertook two day extensive tour of remote area and hilly villages including Batogra, Naan, Chabba, Gwass, Kahara, Bunjwah, Noor, Jalapur, Gothi, Koona, Dhanote, Maran, Dramri, Nali, Toaib Abad, Binoon area and said that people must understand the nefarious design of certain ‘disgruntled forces’, who are trying to disturb the peaceful environs in the State.
Saroori asked people to thwart every such act with full might for ensuring sustained development of the State. He cautioned the people against the anti-social elements who are trying to disturb the peace and harmony in the region. He said peace is vital for the implementation of welfare schemes and developmental activities.
He said that people must understand the nefarious design of certain ‘disgruntled forces’, who are trying to disturb the peaceful environs in the State.
MLA Inderwal was apprised by the local people about their basic issues and problems. Mr. Saroori gave them a patient hearing and assured that all their genuine demands will be addressed on priority.
He said that he will make all the efforts to cover the far-flung areas under the umbrella of developmental process and for this purpose he seeks full cooperation from the people of Bunjwah. Kahara Bhalessa areas. He impressed upon the people to avail the benefits of the development schemes already launched in the area.
