Congress party remember Late Jugal Bhandari on his 3rd death anniversary

Worked for strengthening the bonds of amity and brotherhood between various segments of society: G. M Saroori

JAMMU, MARCH 08: - Congress party on Wednesday fondly remembered Late Thakur Jugal Bhandari on his 3rd death anniversary with Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori paying tributes to the departed leader in Jammu.

Paying floral tributes to the Late Jugal Bhandari, Mr. Saroori described him as a dynamic leader who was always committed to the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden people of Kishtwar.

Saroori said he was a tall leader who nurtured a dream of Peace, Progress in all parts of Kishtwar and one of the most respected Leaders in the congress party because of his total dedication and devotion to the ideas of congress party which he followed throughout his life.

He said such people are rare, who keep aside politics and treat everyone equal, irrespective of caste, creed, colour or regional affiliation”, the State Congress Vice President said, adding that he had unflinching faith in secularism and all his life he worked for strengthening the bonds of amity and brotherhood between various segments of society.

Others who spoke on the occasion were Mahinder Singh Parihar, Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Piyaray Lal Sharma, Satish Kumar, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Santosh Bhandari, Khalid Hussain, Des Raj Parihar, Amar Singh, Rangeil Singh, Amar Singh, Tsering Teshi, Pershant Bhandari, Santosh Bhandari, Altaf Hussain Malik, Haji Ghulam Qadir, Tariq Hussain Mintoo, Madan Lal Bhandari, Ravi Kumar Shan, Noor Hussain, Advocate Suman Bhandari, Advocate Shaik Abrar, Randeep Bhandari, Mohd Amin Butt, Shanker Wazir, Surjeet Badyal, Vinod Kumar, Jagdish Raj, Firdous Mingoo, Wassim Maker and others described that Mr. Bhandari will be remembered among the people as a soft spoken person, beside as peacekeeper.

All the Participants highlighted the achievement of Late Bhandari who till last fought for secularism and brotherhood. .

“Bhandari was associated with Congress party since last over 30 years and hold many important portfolios in the party including State Secretary. He remains the District President of party during peak militancy days and during his tenure promoted party policies and agenda not only in Chenab valley, but also throughout the country. He was known as a symbol of peace and communal harmony and plays his important role during Kishtwar communal violences that rattles the Chenab valley in last over 20 year. He also played an important role in strengthening the fabric of peace and communal harmony and played an important role in bringing the people of the two communities” Congress leaders said.
