Higher secondary part II annual regular Jammu Result: Saroori congratulate students

Kishtwar, January 17: - Former MLA Inderwal and J&K Congress, Vice President, Mr G M Saroori have extended warm greetings and best wishes to the students who have qualified JKBOSE 12th higher secondary annual 2019 regular Jammu zone examination, results of which were announced on Tuesday.

While congratulating the students, Mr Saroori said that the goal of new educational system that is sweeping the world is not teaching students the theories, but to teach them how to think, research and improvise.

Mr. Saroori further said in his message, “Conquering exams is just the beginning. I pray that the student fraternity of J&K conquers many more summits in their life. I congratulate the students on their achievement.”

Calls for mobilisation resources to meet the situation in the aftermath of heavy snowfall in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, January 15: A delegation from Inderwal constituency led by its Former MLA, G. M Saroori calls upon District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana and calls for mobilisation all government resources to meet the situation in the aftermath of heavy snowfall in Kishtwar district.

The administration needs to remain geared up to provide succour to the people affected by heavy snowfall. It is the administration moral and basic responsibility to mitigate the sufferings and the problems of the people", Saroori said.

They called upon DC Kishtwar to take up the issues and matters raised by them with the government of Jammu and Kashmir so that the locals aspirations as was promised to them time to time by government will get fulfilled.

Among the various issues raised by them with the administration include provsion of Ration to the rationees as per the quota alloted to the ration card holder, snow clearance on all the link and major roads besides this restoration of all basic amenities, List of all sanctioned PMAY cases should be displayed in all Panchayat's so that pick and choose policy be averted, Steps be taken for Enrollment of all left over people for provision of Golden card, survey should be based on Ration cards, laid stress for electrification of un-electrified villages to which the work stands allotted to Shilakha company, preparation and submission of DPRs and Map under Jal Jeevan Mission Programme in respect of Bolck Drabshalla and Thakrie which will provide drinking water facility to all the uncovered households, besides also called for clearance of pending installments of IAY, unskilled MGNREGA liabilities for the year 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18, construction of three vital steel bridges at Sharekh nallah, Udeel on Chatroo River and at Mugalmaidan, land compensation pending under PMGSY sector, early start of construction of Tatani-Shrouti road which will benefit around 5000 populations and stands sanctioned under NABARD in the year 2016 and other issues pertaining to public.

They also submitted the memorandum to DC Kishtwar in this regard highlighting the various public issues.

The DDC Kishtwar gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands projected and assured the deputation that all of their genuine issues would be looked into and addressed on priority. He reiterated the commitment of the administration in taking the governance to the doorsteps of the people.

He also assured them that the administration is taking various steps to ensure that benefits of welfare schemes and programmes launched by the government reach to the deserving and intended beneficiaries. He also urged Mr Saroori to continue working towards promoting public welfare.

Kishtwar, January 14: - Former Minister J&K, G. M Saroori today visited Patshallah Bunjwah, Badhath Drabshalla areas and interacted with the public.

While interacting with the people at various locations, Mr. Saroori called on administration for reaching out to the people to resolve their genuine issues. “The pain of far flung areas has reached a level where the hope of peace and development is sure to gain substantial local support if tangible confidence building measures are taken to address the issues concerning to the far flung areas. 

“They now want peace, stability and development to take roots, if substantial steps are taken in the right direction to positively impact the ground situation,” Saroori said and stressed the need and urgency for reviving the peace and development initiatives.

Mr Saroori said that the Government administration is responsive to the people’s needs and concerned about their problems and it should work judiciously and in a transparent manner to fulfill their aspirations and expectations.” He said the government administration should be alive to the public demands and necessary measures should be afoot to upgrade basic amenities and ensure prompt public service delivery at people's door steps. He further said the administration should identify the works wherever necessary additional focus needed be laid to address the people’s demands on priority.

The Former Minister gave a patient hearing to the people's demand and said that their genuine demands would be taken up with the administration for early redressal.

KISHTWAR, JANUARY 09: - J&K Congress Committee Vice President and Former Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has condoled the deaths of Ashfaq Ahmed Kelu from Doda, Maqbool Ahmed Veeri journalist from Anantnag, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh from Binoon Bunjwah, Gaffer Ahmed Lone, Ghulam Mohd Baig both from Baigpura Singpora, Noor Din from Laey Sarthal, Father of Suraj Prakash from Badhath Drabshalla, Zena Begum Grandmother of Pervaiz Ahmed from Karna Inderwal, Malikha Begum Mother of Chowdhary Mohd Ishaq from Patshalla Bunjwah, Chowdhary Lal Hussain from Bamboo, Zafferullah Parray from Malanoo Kahara, Mohd Hussain Qazi from Kashithava Tanta, Marina Begum mother of Manzoor Ahmed from Beli Jakyas, Abdul Rashid Malik resident of Malikpura, Mathaba Begum from Bhatyas, Ghulam Nabi Kumhar from Challar Jakyas, Misra Begum from Amritpura, Mohd Amin and Shair Mohd both from Amritpura Bhalessa who passed away recently.

Conveying condolences to the bereaved families, Mr. Saroori prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and expressed solidarity with the families in his hour of grief to bear the irreparable loss.

J&K Congress condemn assault on AICC General Secretary

Congress leadership and workers would continue to perform their duties towards the people in the country

Jammu, January 05: Strongly condemning the manhandling of  AICC General Secretary Smt. Priyanka Gandhi in Utter Pradesh, J&K Congress Committee, Vice President, G. M Saroori while meeting with the various deputations here at Jammu has expressed grave concern over the undemocratic style  of functioning of the BJP government in UP, but said that Congress leadership and workers shall not be deterred by the suppressive measures of the BJP and would continue to perform their duties towards the people in the country.  

Taking strong exception to the incident of assault on Smt. Priyanka Gandhi by UP police while she was on way to meet the victims of police firing, Mr. Saroori has expressed serious concern over the attitude of BJP government towards national leadership of Congress party which is totally undemocratic and an authoritarian approach towards political opponents. The BJP promotes a culture of disrespect and intolerance towards their ideological opponents, which is against the basic concept of democracy. The BJP is not even open to any kind of healthy criticism and constructive opposition and it is taking all measures to stall the activities of political rivals.

J&K Congress Vice President, questioned that the leaders of political parties are duty bound to reach out to the victims of government actions and preventing opponents from discharge of genuine duties in a democracy is against the basic concept of democracy and speaks of their anti democratic tendency.

Former Minister visits GMC; enquires about wellbeing of patients

JAMMU, JANUARY 02: - Former Minister J&K and Vice President JKPCC, G. M Saroori visited Government Medical College hospital (GMC&H) Jammu to enquire about the health of various patients haling from various districts of Erstwhile Doda district who are suffering from various diseases.

Mr. Saroori interacted with the patients attended at GMC&H Hospital, Jammu and assured them all help. He asked the doctors about the status of the patients and urged the Hospital authorities and doctors to provide every required medical facility to the patients so that they do not feel any inconvenience.

Former Minister also wished for early recovery of the patients.

Failure of the BJP to fulfill the promises and its attempts to divert the attention of people from real issues

Sigdi, December 30: - To have a detailed interaction with the people and to have an on-the-spot know-how of their genuine problems especially in the wake of heavy rainfall and snowfall, Former Minister and J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori visited various areas of Mulchitter, Sigdi, Supnaie, Seeri, Gwarian, Bhata of district Kishtwar.

The people present in hundreds at various areas put forth a number of public grievances.

Mr. Saroori took stock of the problems of people and assured that their issues will be taken up with the concerned officials for early redressal.

He said that the people of the country have been realizing the falsehood and diversionary tactics of BJP, as a result, the BJP is loosing state after state where elections are being held after the Lok Sabha elections. The failure of the BJP to fulfill the promises and its attempts to divert the attention of people from real issues like providing basic amenities to common masses at cheaper price, addressing of core issues have failed to hoodwink the people any longer.

Mr. Saroori said time is coming for the BJP in J&K as well to explain in the court of people as to why they failed in taking to logical conclusion various flag-ship projects like setting up of AIIMS and three Medical Colleges in the Jammu region, SMART City project, Water pipeline for Kishtwar, implementation of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, Artificial Lake Project, Tawi River Front Project on the pattern of Sabarmati Project, widening of Batote- Kishtwar road and so on. He said no excuse will work henceforth, as these projects came under the direct control of BJP.

He also visited the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in Sigdi where some unidentified persons believed to be the burglars have made an unsuccessful attempt to rob the bank and after failing in its attempt decamped with the 12 bore rifle of the guard. He urged the police officials for time bond investigation and crack this robbery case.

Earlier Mr. Saroori along with Block President Mugalmaidan Ali Mohd Naik, Sarpanch Mulchitter, Rtd. Captain Amarchand, senior Congress leaders Naib Chand, Wazir Tak, Mohd Hafeez and others visited the house of a social activist from Mulchitter area, Shambu Nath who passed away recently after a brief illness. They said to the deceased wife that Congress party is deeply saddened about the death of Shambu Nath ji. Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased family members and prayed for peace for the departed soul.
