Calls for mobilisation
resources to meet the situation in the aftermath of heavy snowfall in Kishtwar
Kishtwar, January 15:
A delegation from Inderwal constituency led by its Former MLA, G. M Saroori
calls upon District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana
and calls for mobilisation all government resources to meet the situation in
the aftermath of heavy snowfall in Kishtwar district.
The administration
needs to remain geared up to provide succour to the people affected by heavy
snowfall. It is the administration moral and basic responsibility to mitigate
the sufferings and the problems of the people", Saroori said.
A delegation
compromises of Ali Mohd Naik, Shabir Ahmed Lone, Mohd Rafiq Shah, Naresh Kumar,
Somnath, Zakir Hussain Keen, Waseem Sajjad, Abdul Qayoom Gagroo, Mohd Shafi,
Altaf Ahmed, Chowdhary Mohd Yusuf, Musarat Ahmed Dev, Manzoor Ahmed Shah,
Javed Ahmed Zargar, Mohd Sarwar, Chowdhary Muneer Ahmed, Javed Ahmed Keen, Mohd
Haneef and many others calls upon DDC Kishtwar, and appraise him about the
genuine aspirations of the people of Inderwal constituency.
They called upon DC
Kishtwar to take up the issues and matters raised by them with the government
of Jammu and Kashmir so that the locals aspirations as was promised to them
time to time by government will get fulfilled.
Among the various
issues raised by them with the administration include provsion of Ration to the
rationees as per the quota alloted to the ration card holder, snow clearance on
all the link and major roads besides this restoration of all basic amenities,
List of all sanctioned PMAY cases should be displayed in all Panchayat's so
that pick and choose policy be averted, Steps be taken for Enrollment of all
left over people for provision of Golden card, survey should be based on Ration
cards, laid stress for electrification of un-electrified villages to which the
work stands allotted to Shilakha company, preparation and submission of DPRs
and Map under Jal Jeevan Mission Programme in respect of Bolck Drabshalla and
Thakrie which will provide drinking water facility to all the uncovered
households, besides also called for clearance of pending installments of IAY,
unskilled MGNREGA liabilities for the year 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18,
construction of three vital steel bridges at Sharekh nallah, Udeel on Chatroo
River and at Mugalmaidan, land compensation pending under PMGSY sector, early
start of construction of Tatani-Shrouti road which will benefit around 5000
populations and stands sanctioned under NABARD in the year 2016 and other
issues pertaining to public.
They also submitted
the memorandum to DC Kishtwar in this regard highlighting the various public
issues.
The DDC Kishtwar gave
a patient hearing to the issues and demands projected and assured the
deputation that all of their genuine issues would be looked into and addressed
on priority. He reiterated the commitment of the administration in taking the
governance to the doorsteps of the people.
He also assured them
that the administration is taking various steps to ensure that benefits of
welfare schemes and programmes launched by the government reach to the
deserving and intended beneficiaries. He also urged Mr Saroori to continue
working towards promoting public welfare.
