Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday threatened to go on hunger strike, if the portfolios of the former ministers Peerzada Mohammad Syed and GM Saroori1 were not restored to them.

Both the Ministers were sacked following charges of nepotism and corruption. The threatening came from the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) General Secretary GM Shah who along with scores of party activists today assembled at Press Enclave to protest against (NC) and demanded immediate return of portfolios to debarred congress ministers. Carrying banners and placards which read return portfolios of Saroori (former R& B Minister and Syed (Education minister).

“It is quite unfortunate on part of the National Conference that our ministers either in assembly or in their respective constituencies are being pressurized by it which is the only reason why they are not properly concentrating on their duties,” Shah told reporters. Criticizing the coalition head for driving out two senior Congress leaders and ministers in coalition government, he said that Gulam Mohammad Saroori a well reputed leader under a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by NC, washed his hands from ministerial position. “If both the cabinet ministers have got personal clean chit from Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) then why National Conference is silent on that issue?”

“I appeal Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Professor Soz to kindly take serious notes of what is being cooked against the Congress in the state. With only two years left for new assembly elections we want immediate return of the portfolios to our ministers,” he said. He demanded that congress core committee meeting be convened soon so that the problem is being faced by its ministers and legislatures are discussed threadbare. “We don’t want to lose what we have got in Gulam Nabi Azad’s tenure. Our ministers are working in extremely tough conditions as they are constantly facing strain form NC,” alleged Shah
