Bhalesha, 1 December: - In order to mobilize the support of Sarpanches, Panches and
general masses in favour of Coalition Government for forthcoming elections for
MLCs, a meeting under the leadership of Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal
Ghulam Mohammad Saroori
appealed the Sarpanches and Panches to vote for the coalition candidates Sham
Lal Bhagat (Congress Candidate) and Dr Sehnaz Ganai (National Conference
Candidate).
While addressing the Sarpanches and Panches at Khara, Bhalesha area of Doda District home town of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Saroori asked them to ensure the victory of coalition candidates and not be hoodwinked by the divisive politics of People Democratic Party (PDP). He appealed to the Panchayat Members to vote for the coalition candidates to ensure that the strength of Panchayats grows manifold. He informed them of the decision taken by the Congress Party high command to cast their votes in favour of the coalition government candidates in forthcoming Legislative Council elections. Valuable vote of your for the joint candidates of coalition contesting is in real sense a vote for strengthening and developing this institution”, he said. He said MLC election has provided a golden opportunity to the workers of the two parties to develop strong bonds of coalition at grass root.
“AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had made it clear to make Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRI) strong, vibrant and powerful so that they can deliver and grow in Jammu and Kashmir state”, Saroori added.
Saroori said UPA and State coalition government took up massive developmental projects and strengthened infrastructure in all the three regions viz Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh thereby assuring peace and prosperity for all the sections of the society. He said government has always support you because government want you to stand on your own legs and deliver as a powerful and viable public institution Saroori said because “we created these institutions with sincerity and are in the process of making them fully empowered.
