Teaching fraternity should come up to the expectations of the people: Saroori

Teacher’s deputation calls on Saroori in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 28: - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today urged upon teaching fraternity to come up to the expectations of the people by utilizing their experience, skills and qualification for the welfare of society.

Saroori said that teaching is a noble profession and teachers are the nation builders so they should deliver their best with dedication and devotion and come up to the expectations of the society.

This was stated by Saroori while responding to the demands put forth by the various deputations of Teachers forum, RET’z forum and other representatives who called upon the MLA Inderwal G. M. Saroori at Srinagar here today. Problems pertaining to school deduction department were discussed in the meeting.

The points discussed include, suitable adjustment of masters who served in remote areas for three years near their homes, regularisation of EVs as regular teachers after completion five plus two years of service and framing of transfer policy for ReT teachers, filling up of vacant posts, release of salary grants under SSA, timely release of salary grants, Inter district transfer etc.

Saroori gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured full cooperation to the teaching community beside said that their demands shall be looked into on priority. He assured that he (Saroori) will discuss all the problems facing by Teacher community with Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand who is also holding the Education Ministry.

While hailing the efforts and steps taken by Saroori in helping Teacher forum they said that Saroori has actually taken steps on ground rather than hallow promises.
