Unlike other parties Congress never ignored people’s
aspirations for power
Drabshalla, January 04: - Retreating resolve of his party to aggressively pursue the pro-people agenda, Vice president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that Congress has become a uniform force to unite all the regions and sub-regions of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing series of public meetings in Lass, Londhri, Neju, Dhar, Dugga areas of Tehsil Drabshalla, Saroori said that the Congress had translated its promises into realities so people of the State have high hopes from the party. “We will come up to the expectation of the people”, he assured and added that unlike other parties Congress has never ignored people’s aspirations for power.
“Congress through its works has earned credibility of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the masses are looking towards Congress to get their aspirations addressed”, Saroori observed and added that people have realized that only Congress has the vision and conviction to solve their problems. “By translating its promises into realities, Congress in a short span of time had earned faith and credibility of the people”, he said.
Saroori said that the tenure of the Ghulam Nabi Azad led regime was historic period in the political history of the State because that Government had succeeded in involving people in the governance. Responding to the demands of the local people, Congress state vice president promised to formulate a comprehensive plan for the over-all development of rural and far-flung areas.
MLA Inderwal also said the grievance of the people of Saroor area will be redressed in the coming time. He said that the plights of the people, which they brought into his notice, would be redressed in the best possible time. He said that the Coalition Government has failed to resolve the problems of the people and now people have lost faith on them. Highlighting the problems, people of Saroor said that the road and drains of their area were in dilapidated condition, but the government and the concerned development authorities are not taking all this seriously.
Speaking on the occasion, Akhtar Hussain Khurwaey, Mohd Sultan Malik, Mufti Arshad, Abdul Wahid Sheikh, Bashir Ahmed, Jagdish Raj, Ved Prakash, said that people of the State are fed up with anti people policies of the Coalition Government which has totally failed to redress the grievances of the people in all aspects including development. They said that Congress is the only party, who can mitigate the problems of the people.
Earlier Mr Saroori welcomed Mr. Bashir Ahmed Malik, Mr. Noor Hussain, Mr. Bhadar Din, Mrs. Shariefa Begum Former Panch along with their supporters in Congress fold and said their joining will further strengthen the party in Saroor area, which he described as strong Congress bastion. Newly joined members also spoke on the occasion and reaffirmed their commitment to the policies and programmes of Congress.
