Kontwara area suffered the most during BJP government; Three dozen BJP workers joined Congress

KANDANI, NOVEMBER 08: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori castigated communal and opportunistic forces for dividing the people in the name of religion and region.

While addressing a public meeting here at Kandani area of Kishtwar district, Saroori accused PDP and BJP of pursuing communal, caste and regional based politics, saying this is detrimental to the pluralistic ethos of the State. He said Congress is the only party which reflects the urges and aspirations of the people of the three regions and their sub regions. ‘Communal amity and harmony has been the hallmark of Congress”, he said.

Saroori asked: “Who are the people who are not letting the construction work on the Kontwara Bridge to start, who are the people who are not constructing the sanctioned road for Kontwara under PMGSY, who are the people who don’t want to construct the road on the approved alignment, People in 2014 election gave thumbing majority to BJP from Kontwara area where are the promises and assurances made by the so called leaders.
