PAHALGWAR, DECEMBER 25: - Prominent People’s Democratic Party (PDP), leader from Chatroo, Chowdhary Lal Din along with his five dozen supporters today joined Congress party here.

Chowdhary Lal Din along with his all supporters, who hails from Mundwar Pahalgwar, joined in the presence of Youth Congress leader, Sharik Ahmed Saroori, senior leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Irshad Ahmed, Altaf Hussain Malik, Chowdhary Noor Din, Ghulam Hussain, Chowdhary Abdullah, Ghulam Mohd and others at a function organised in a simple but impressive function here at Pahalgwar area of sub-division Chatroo here.

Congress leaders said Chowdhary Lal Din was a prominent political leader of ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Welcoming Lal Din and his supporters into the party fold, Congress leaders expressed hope that their joining will strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhary Lal Din and others said the Congress was a beacon of hope in an atmosphere of political opportunism and sellouts that has engulfed the state and deprived its people of their dignity and rights. They said that they would work tirelessly to strengthen the Congress party at the grassroots level and take its vision and mission to every doorstep.

In his speech, Sharik Saroori welcomed the new comers in the Congress Party and asked them to work for strengthen the party in their area. He said that their services would be duly recognized in the party and said Congress is the only Party which has its acceptability in all sections of the society and all three regions of the state.

Referring to the present government Mr. Sharik Saroori said that both Centre and State governments (PDP and BJP) have failed to fulfill even a single commitment with the people and brought miseries for the common man due to their wrong policies. The achievement of government is that the divisive forces have succeeded in vitiating the atmosphere of peace and harmony in the Country. There is hue and cry everywhere and nobody feels secure in the present regime.

Sharik Saroori further said that the failure of the government is required to be highlighted amongst the public for their anti-national policies and assured new comers that a state of fair deal and justice will prevail only under Congress Regime. He further said that the newly entrants entry would give boost to the party not only in Pahalgwar belt but in other areas.

He also assured the newly entrants that their genuine demands including water crisis, electricity problem, pending payment under MGNREGA or IHHL schemes, improvement of road connectivity and other issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He further said that MLA Inderwal G. M Saroori would leave no stone unturned in redressing the genuine issues on top priority.
