Ghulam Nabi Azad expresses grief over tragic accident at Ramban


Urged Government to release ex-gratia relief in favour of next kins of those who have lost lives

Jammu, October 06: Former J&K Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha (MP), Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of life in a tragic accident after a bus travelling from Banihal to Ramban near Kela morh fell into a deep gorge and resulted into loss of at least 13 people died and 17 were injured.

Conveying his sympathies to the bereaved families, Azad has prayed Almighty Allah for granting solace to the departed souls and courage to the family members of the deceased’s to bear with the loss. He also conveyed his sympathies to those who sustained injuries in this tragic accident.

Ghulam Nabi Azad also urged the State Government to provide Rs. 10 lakhs adequate ex-gratia relief to the family members of those who died in a tragic accident. He also urged the State Government to make available required medical assistance to all those who have been injured and shifted to Government Medical College Jammu or PGI Chandigarh for higher level of care and treatment.

Meanwhile G. M Saroori (JKPCC Vice President and MLA Inderwal), Vikar Rasool Wani MLA Banihal, Mohammed Sharief Niaz (JKPCC Executive Member), Abdul Majid Wani (JKPCC General Secretary), Naresh Kumar Gupta (MLC), Sham Lal Bhagat (MLC), Ashok Kumar former MLA Ramban and all the Congressmen have also expressed grief over the Ramban accident.

“Our heart goes out to the bereaved families in this hour of grief and sorrow,” they said
