Rescue and arrange for shifting them to respective designation's
Jammu, March 29- Congress has urged the government to take urgent steps to streamline the arrangements for the stranded students, labourers and others belonging to different districts, who are struck up in Jammu, due to the sudden announcement of lockdown.
In a joint statement JKPCC President G. A Mir and several other senior leaders include Shri Raman Bhalla, G M Saroori, Haji Abdul Rashid, Mula Ram, Mohd Anwar Bhatt, G. N Monga, Ravinder Sharma, Kanta Bhan, Amreen Bader have urged the UT administration to take further steps to streamline the process of food and shelter and Medicare to those stranded in Jammu, belonging to different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, who are struck up.
They should be shifted to their respective areas and till then proper arrangements for their food and shelter be made. The assistance of NGOs and social, religious organizations be also sought but to be managed by the government in order to maintain the standard health advisories.
They said that administration has taken some steps in this direction but large numbers of people are still stranded in Jammu and they are short of resources and shelter. They were waiting at bus stand and Rly station for three - four days. The government should come to their rescue and arrange for shifting them to respective destinations but meanwhile arrange for their food, shelter and Medicare.
