Attack on JK students; ensure safety of the students: Saroori


Global insitutes JK students called upon Saroori

Jammu, December 16: - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori urged Haryana Government to probe the incident and ensure safety of every JK student.

Saroori said attack on JK students is a cause of concern that the lives as well as academic future of JK studying outside the state are feeling unsafe.

He said repeated attacks on JK students have been reported earlier as well during which many people have lost their lives, but unfortunately nothing has been done so far to stop the attacks.

“It is the responsibility of government of India and respective local governments to ensure that JK students present in their respective states a security and he also condemned the beating of Kashmiri students with sticks and iron rods at Global Research University of Management and Technology in Nacharan village of Yamuna Nagar.

A deputation of JK students which met Saroori at his residence informed that students hailing from different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir perusing engineering from Global Research Institute for Management and Technology, Tehsil Radhore of District Yamna Nagar Haryana was hospitalized last week, and many escape from the college premises and take shelter in nearby police station after some local goons and outsiders entered into college mess and beat them with rods and sticks, beside chase them by displaying guns.

They said that many students were in state of shock and are not willing to go back to college facing threat to their life. They allege that college authorities fail to provide security to the students as the same has become home to goons and local criminals.

Telephonically Saroori also talked with Director of the College M. S. Shalini and urged her to provide security to the students of JK and take stern action against the culprits.

She told that the incident was soughted out within an half an hour and already additional security has been deployed in the college premises. She further informed that the students have actually fought over some issue in the premises and it is being sorted out,” Director said and assured that no such incident will take place in future time.
