A statement issued by Saroori has asked his party colleagues, cadres to make the Congress more popular among the electoral voters, leaders and party workers should work unitedly forgetting differences among them.

Saroori said that there is a need to work with zeal and determination at the grassroot level, so that Congress will revive the base in the areas where we have lost the ground”, said Saroori adding that soon Congress high command will make a strategy that will be devised and a coherent action plan will be put in place for reviving and rejuvenating the Party at all levels.

He asked the leaders, cadres to work out a joint strategy and move together without criticizing each other.

For better connect with the people, Saroori said party high command should direct all the local chiefs to go in wards, villages, hold meeting with local residents, pradhans, and other civic bodies chiefs, know about the local issues and problems, and then prepared a plan along with the budget and suggestions that how those could be overcome.

This is my personal experience that if you prepared a draft of any problem, and keep on raising the issue on right platform, all the matters would be resolved with period of time”, claimed third time MLA from Inderwal, G. M. Saroori while stressing that this practice if adopted in true spirit by the Congressmen, would go a long way in re-establishing Congress connect with the local public.

On government formation in J&K Saroori said that the people of the state are caught in serious crisis with the scarcity of basic amenities in the absence of a democratically government.

Saroori said PDP must recall what it promised to the masses during the election rallies. “Isn’t it true that that it was PDP and Mufti sahib who in open declared that if anyone can stop BJP’s march in Jammu and Kashmir, it is PDP. They must recall what they have said.”

He said a secular and non- BJP government is possible in JK as PDP is being offered support by Congress party and independent MLA’s as well. “The onus lies on PDP as it has emerged as the single largest party in the state. PDP has to take final call in this regard and same must be done at an earliest,” he said and added that PDP should join hands with Congress to form a secular government in Jammu and Kashmir.
