Performance of coalition government on ground is zero: Saroori

PDP-BJP adopting non-serious approach about the wellbeing of the people

Government claims to have electrified five districts are only on papers

KISHTWAR, APRIL 28: - J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that Congress Party is committed to equitable development of all the three regions and it will continue to remain steadfast to serve the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh equally. Saroori said this while meeting with Congress workers here at his residence Kishtwar.

Saroori said Congress party is committed to fight against discrimination against people and is committed to resolve issues concerning people of the State. The Coalition Govt of PDP-BJP which has secured vote due to polarization has added woes to people after securing votes from them. They people of the State have realized that their vote has gone against them, as the promises made by both Coalition Partners have fallen flat.

Castigating PDP BJP Coalition for adopting non-serious approach about the wellbeing of the people, Saroori said due to the contradiction in the approach of the PDP BJP Coalition, State is facing difficult situation, leaving people in all the three regions in isolation, there is sign of improvement on the ground only on officials statement from the Govt are pouring in, he said.

Saroori lashed out at Coalition for failing to address the genuine concerns of the people, besides the mis-governance and mismanagement on their Govt has added miseries to people. I want to ask both PDP-BJP coalition government, how many promises made by them during their election campaign were fulfilled, Saroori questioned. Congress Party is committed to resolution of the issues concerning people and it will continue to fight against discrimination against any region of the State. He said the performance of the Coalition Govt on ground is zero, for the fact, there was no improvement on ground in any Sector, unemployment has risen considerably, Govt Departments are not functioning in way they should, and as a result, the day today needs of the people remain un-attended & unaddressed. He told the Party cadres to remain connected with the people and get to know the problems they are facing, as it is our bounden duty to struggle and fight for resolution of the issue concerning people.

On the recent statement issued by Deputy Chief Minister regarding the electrification of five no of districts under Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and RGGVY phase II schemes but in reality the government claims to have “electrified” these five districts are only on papers. He also lambasted PDP-BJP Government for its inability to initiate the RGGVY phase II and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojna in Jammu and Kashmir, saying this proves beyond doubt the incompetence and lack of bandwidth of the present dispensation to carry forward so-called developmental agenda in the state. He further added that with these schemes all the electricity problem not only of Inderwal constituency but of whole Chenab valley will get solved that will give sigh of relief to the common masses of rural and far flung areas.
