Provide adequate
ex-gratia relief of Rs. 10 lakhs each in favour of the deceased family members
Kishtwar, April 24: -
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President and Former
Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed shock and deep grief over the
loss of five precious lives in a tragic accident which took place on Wednesday
near Piyakul on Thathri-Kilhotran road.
After hearing the news
Mr. Saroori who was in Kishtwar rushed to the spot and monitored the rescue
operation, “My heart goes out to the families of those who have lost their dear
ones in an unfortunate accident”, Mr. Saroori said while expressing solidarity
with the bereaved families, praying for strength to them to bear this
irreparable loss. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls beside a place
for them in a heaven.
Mr. Saroori has urged
Governor J&K Satya Pal Malik and his administration to take effective steps
to check road accidents and pass the directions to the traffic department to
take adequate and stringent measures to check the recurrence of road accidents.
He also urged the Governor to provide adequate ex-gratia relief of Rs. 10 lakhs
each in favour of the deceased family members.
A mini bus ferrying 15
passengers came under a heavy boulder near Piyakul on Thathri-Kilhotran road.
They were then taken to the PHC Thathri where doctors declared Mansoor Ahmed
son of Saif Din R/o Kanno, Gulshan Begum wife of Mansoor Ahmed R/o Kanno,
Shakeela Begum wife of Ghulam Nabi R/o Kanno, Mudassir Ahmed son of Mohd Iqbal
R/o Jia and Kewal Kumar wife of Late Surjeet Singh R/o Sichal Bhalessa dead
