Kishtwar, July 28: - As the people prepare to celebrate 'Eid-ul-Fitr'
at the end of holy fasting month of Ramadhan, Senior Congress Leader and
Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori
today has wished them well-being and prosperity.
The spirit behind observing Eid-ul-Fitr is to "rededicate ourselves to truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, patience and human dignity showing complete obedience to Allah", Saroori said in his Eid message.
Saroori reminded people of the essence of the Eid saying "the day demands us to remember the poor and the needy and share happiness with them. Saroori expressed hope that the auspicious occasion will bring sustained peace, progress, prosperity in the state and strengthen the bond of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which, he termed as the hallmarks of state's glorious pluralistic traditions.
As the Muslims follow lunar calendar, the fasting month of Ramadhan will come to an end with the sighting of crescent this evening or tomorrow evening.
