Thathri, March 31: - Making an emotional pitch to voters to vote and support the Congress in the ongoing Parliament poll, JKPCC Vice President and former Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that his party was fighting against divisive and exploitive forces, which are hell bent to destroy love and harmony not only in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, but in entire nation the mutual bond between the people from various ethnicity was at risk.

The Senior Congress while addressing unprecedented and impressive road shows cum Public addresses at Thathri  where people gave Mr. Saroori, Mohammad Sharief Naiz, Mohammad Aslam Goni, Naresh Gupta, Sheikh Mujeeb, Thakur Nagar Singh & others receive rousing receptions and pledged to make Congress party Candidate Vikram Aditiya Singh win with thumping majority.

Mr. Saroori seeks mandate of the people for Congress candidate to accelerate developmental activities in remotest and far-flung areas. He said that Congress was committed to counter and defeat divisive forces tooth and nail and would always work for development of Jammu and Kashmir irrespective of any caste, colour or religion.

"Claiming that there is huge corruption in Raffle deal in Modi Government who fails to full fill its poll promises including made with the people of J&K," Saroori said added that Congress party would win both parliamentary seats from Jammu Division. Urging the people of the Inderwal constituency to vote decisively in favour of the Congress candidate, Saroori said that Congress government from 2002 to 2014 gave a new paradigm of development and governance to the state which was characterised by all-round and equitable development, efficiency, transparency and people-friendly image.

Mr. Saroori reminded the people about various developmental projects which he has started for the development of this Assembly constituency. “Many projects started during Congress Government are still incomplete due to BJP failure”, he said and sought vote & support of the people to finish that incomplete projects to improve their socio-economic conditions.

He also lambasts out at BJP and said that, “It is this, the very heart and soul of J&K that we are fighting to protect in this election, from those who seek to change it, and to divide us. We want unity. They want to impose uniformity. The Prime Minister says ‘just believe in me’. We say ‘believe in our intentions, in our achievements…a high rate of growth, inclusive development, and strong democratic institutions.” He said that Congress party is going to win 2019 Elections with a record margin and all candidates of other parties including BJP shall forfeit their deposits.

In his address, Mohammed Sharief Niaz described Congress party as “synonym to development, secularism and national integrity.” He highlighted that 130 –year- old Congress party has played great role in freedom struggle. Thousands of workers and leaders sacrificed their lives, remained jailed till country got Independence.  After Independence, it was Congress that scripted the future of the country and advanced towards the path of development.  Development in any sphere cannot be done over night but the consistent and committed efforts of Congress has brought India on the world map, which is now one among the leading nation of the world, he added.

Niaz said that BJP has caused much damage to the people of Jammu region than any other party. He cautioned the people against the divisive politics of BJP and said that such dangerous politics for petty political gains has always proved disastrous for the people.  The BJP is brazenly playing to reap political benefits and Its leadership was only raking up emotive issues, Mr Niaz maintained.

"All religions are equally important and if preached rightly, lead us to the path towards almighty God" Said Mohammad Aslam Goni added that few parties including BJP believes in using religion as a shortcut to reach corridors of power by precipitating emotions of people and getting our society polarized on the basis of caste and religion. 

In his address Naresh Kumar Gupta said "J&K people are wise enough not to be swayed down by these opportunist politicians. They will definitely reject their dangerous agenda for division of our society and shall, only, choose path towards peace, development and prosperity.

The Congress Leaders at the end also appealed to the voters of Inderwal constituency to come in large and cast their votes in favour of Congress Candidate.

Among others who addressed the gathering including Sheikh Mujeeb, Chowdhary Mohd Ali, NC Leader Noor Mohd Kalu, Asgar Hussain Khangi, Mohd Iqbal Keen and others.

On the occasion several BJP leaders including Mahinder Singh from Patshalla Bunjwah along with dozen of BJP hardcore workers joined the Congress party.

G. M Saroori condole Maulana Sayeed Wastanvi death




JAMMU, MARCH 29: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Maulana Sayeed Wastanvi son of Maulana Muhammad Ghulam Wastanvi resident of Maharashtra who passed away today after brief illness.

Mr. Saroori expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and conveyed his sympathy. He prayed to the Almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed soul beside a place for him in heaven. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss.

BJP’s defeat on two Lok Sabha seats of Jammu Division imminent: Saroori

Jammu, March 27: Senior Congress leader and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori while putting a lid on the speculations of joining of former Congress MP Madan Lal Sharma and former Congress Minister Sham Lal Sharma into BJP said that Sharma brothers are true and loyal soldiers of Congress party.

In a press statement issued here today, Saroori said that the defeat of BJP on two seats of Jammu Division Viz Udhampur-Kathua and Jammu-Poonch seat is imminent added that BJP after seeing the defeat in Parliament Elections is spreading false propaganda on possibilities of joining of the Sharma brothers into BJP.

Saroori said that the Congress party is United for ensuring the victory of party candidates Raman Bhalla and Vikram Aditiya Singh. He said that both Sharma brothers along with party candidates are busy in canvasing mass voters in the constituency to ensure victory of the party candidates.

He said that BJP should refrain itself from mischievous propaganda on joining of Sharma brothers added that BJP has lost its ground as a result of which the party has resorted to cheap tectics.

Senior Congress leader from J&K also made an appeal to voters to vote overwhelming for Congress candidates for overall development, peace and prosperity of the country including in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

JAMMU, MARCH 25: - Senior Congress Leader, Dr Karan Singh said that Congress is the only force in the country that binds all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir viz Jammu, Srinagar and Ladakh.

A delegation from district Kishtwar and Doda met Senior Congress Leader Dr. Karan Singh and interacted with him on various issues. Member JK Campaign & Election Management Committee, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliament sear, Vikramaditya Singh, Former MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta, Block Presidents, other frontal incharges and sarpacnhes were also present on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Karan Singh said that Congress always play it's part in the developmental sector not only in state of Jammu and Kashmir, but in the entire country added that the developmental works started under the able leadership of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh presently proved as backbone of India’s economy.

Dr. Karan Singh while seeking votes for his son Vikramaditya SIngh who is Congress party candidate from Udhampura-Kathua-Doda parliament seat said that Congress party is guarantee to peace, communal harmony and brotherhood where all sections of the society find solace under its shelter. He said that Congress party right from the Prime Minister Jawhar Lal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shashtri, Indra Gandhi followed by Rajiv Gandhi and Manmohan Singh ensure that all section of the society will get equal opportunity to get empowered.

In his address, G. M Saroori lashed out at BJP and said that as result of BJPs decisive politics, the clouds of uncertainty were hovering over the skies across the India where unemployed youths are battling hard to get jobs while at the same time; the farmers are struggling hard to get suitable price to their crops as a result of which many farmers across the India feels cheated as BJP fails to fulfill its promises with regards to farmers loan waivers.

Mr. Saroori said that Udhampur-Kathua-Doda-Kishtwar-Reasi-Ramban Parliamentary constituency under present MP who happens to be the MoS in India's strong hold political epicenter of Prime Minister’s Office. He said that the local MP hardly visited the far flung areas of 6 constituencies of Chenab Valley added that the villages like Saddal and Battan in Nagsini area of Kishtwar District adopted by the incumbent MP depicted "sorry state of affairs" image as nothing was done till date. He said that the MP also fail to accommodate local poor and deserving unemployed youths in power projects under construction in Chenab basin added that Instead of accommodating local unemployed youths, non deserving and blue eyed persons including relatives of BJP leaders were engaged at the cost of deserving unemployed youths.

Senior Congress leader made a desperate appeal to the people of India including that of J&K to vote overwhelming for Congress candidates for flourishing of J&K state at par with the nation which has already showed its commitment to dethrone the BJP lead NDA Government in this year Election.

Vikramaditya, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the people to vote and support him and ensure his victory at the hustings. He also hit out at BJP as he charged that their senior leaders stood for the prosperity of only a few. “BJP has become the party of few individuals. It is seeking votes not in the name of the party but in the name of few individuals. “When votes are sought in the name of few individuals, it is dictatorship. And the fight today is between dictatorship and democracy,” he said and added that the country had a choice between rule by majority, with all its diversity, and rule by an individual.

The Congress candidate also promised to address the development deficit which the region is facing for the last four years. He also promised that if voted to power at the Centre, Congress will empower the youth and women in the State so as to take J&K on the path of growth and development. “Our focus shall be on creating State and district wise micro development plan.
