Saroori took stock of functioning of GDC, CD Block office and CHC Thathri
Kishtwar, October 22: - Asking the BJP, PDP to refrain from misleading the people by raking up divisive issues, Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said Jammu & Kashmir is a symbol of communal harmony and politicians of all shades in the state must not play politics of religion and region and work towards peace and harmony in the state. He said nobody should divide the people on regional, religious or communal lines.
The opposition parties in J&K PDP & BJP and ruling NC has suffered a major jolt with parting way by large number of its workers and joining the Congress party.
As many as 50 people from PDP, BJP and NC including Shokat Tantary, Liyakat Ahmed with their supporters from Nagni Bhalessa joined Congress at a function organized at Saroori residence others who joined at Phigsoo including Abdul Kabir Malik, Asgar Ali, Bilal Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, Nissar Ahmed, Nadeem Hussain, Altaf Hussain, Ayaz Ahmed, Mohd Yoonas Malik, Ghulam Nabi & many more.
While welcoming the new entrants, Saroori said that after the inspiration and people friendly policies of the Congress party, such large number of workers from PDP, NC and BJP has joined the Indian National Congress. He asked them to serve the people and spread the programmes and policies of the Congress party at the grass root level.
The newly joined workers also addressed and said that they have full faith in the leadership of Mr. G. M. Saroori and have inspired by the development scenario in the Inderwal Assembly segment. They also highlighted that Mr. Saroori is real representative of general public and is having transparent policies which attracted them to join Congress party. They assured that they will work hard for strengthening the party in the areas.
Saroori also visited Thathri and took stock of functioning of Government Degree College (GDC) Thathri, CD Block office Thathri and Community Health centres (CHC) Thathri. He also attended a function at Phigsoo, organized in connection with Cricket match played between attended the attended the organized in connection with Cricket match played between two local Cricket Clubs. He announced that a sports stadium would be developed at Phigsoo provided people of the area have to give land for the said stadium to promote sports activities in the area. Besides, distributing prizes among the winner and runner up teams, Saroori disbursed Rs. 5000 to both the teams as a token of encouragement.
Later Saroori visited the residence of Abdul Samud from Kuriya to personally condole the demise of his mother and also condole the sad demise of Noor Din who died today at Thathri due to heart attack. Prominent among those various Sub-District Thathri officers, Asgar Khangi, Abid Hussain, Abdul Majeed Rahi, local Congress leaders, Youth congress members accompanied Mr. Saroori.
