Inspected TRC Building and Bridge on Khara-Tanta road; visited medical camp
Khara (Bhalessa), October 19: - Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that various proactive measures have been taken up to explore the immense tourism potential of the far off areas in the Inderwal constituency.
He called upon the concerned authorities to work with vigour and dedication to ensure the execution of ongoing projects well in time. Saroori who today visited Tehsil Khara of district Doda, to take on spot stock of the under execution road & tourism projects being carried out in the area.
While inspecting Rs 7.83 crore for developing Baderwah-Thathri-Bhalesa tourist circuit, he inspected under construction Tourist Reception Centers at Khara and informed that under the project another one would be constructed at Thathri besides construction of way side amenities, parks, viewing decks and public conveniences are also the components of the said project. He stressed upon the concerned executing agency that the project should be completed within stipulated time frame with all necessary modern facilities for the tourists.
He also inspected bridges constructed on Khara-Tanta road which is under construction by PMGSY at the cost of 13 crores. He directed Superintending Engineer PWD (R&B) Doda, to start the black topping on Khara-Jai road and also complete the 2nd abatement work on bridge Goila-Trankhel road at an earliest.
Saroori also visited the medical camp here at Khara which was sponsored by Ghulam Nabi Azad. He interacted with the patients, local people, Congress Leaders, Youth Congress members, Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area and exhorted all patients to utilise the facility of medical camps organised by him (Saroori) to identify their problems at an early stage. He underscored the need for organising more such camps in remote and hilly area for ensuring maximum benefits to the people by this type of health care facilities.
The camp witnessed an unprecedented response and the locals as well as people from adjacent villages came to attend the camp. During the medical camps, around 1500 patients were treated by the doctors today. Free branded medicines were also provided to the patients.
On the occasion people have requested Mr. Saroori for organizing such types of medical camps in future also so that poor and needy are benefited. People of Khara were grateful to the Ghulam Nabi Azad for his concerted efforts and assistance in providing free medical aid at their door step and also to G. M. Saroori. Later he held the march through main bazar of Khara.
Prominent among those Ch Abdul Rashid Kandar, Ghulam Haider Wani (Company), Jai Dev Singh, Haji Ghulam Mohd Mir, Mohd Ramzan Wani, Haji Abdul Latief, Shameem Ahmed, Safder Hussain Wani, Mohd Hussain, Bashir Ahmed Sirwal, Ch Noor Maey, Ch Jasham, Abdul Qayoom, Manzoor Ahmed, Abdul Majid Khandey, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Ch Masoodi, Sultan Parray, Akhtar Parray and officer of various departments accompanied Mr. Saroori during the tour.
