Saroori visited Padder, take stock of damages due to cloudburst

Padder July 27: - Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal Mr. G. M. Saroori visited Tehsil Atholi of Sub Division Padder in district Kishtwar to take on spot assessment of the damages caused due to cloudburst in village Kijai.


Due to heavy landslides and cloudburst in the area not only the portion of the road was washed away but the bridge was also totally damaged.
Saroori directed General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) authorities responsible for maintenance of the Padder road to speed up the work on war footing basis keeping in view the ongoing season month long annual Machail Yatra. 


Due to washing away of road and bridge, the Yatris and general public of Padder are facing lots of hardship due to blockade of road. As result of which the loaded vehicles carrying essential commodities are stranded on either side of the road and the people are facing acute shortage of Ration, Kerosene oil and other essential commodities in Sub-Division Padder.

He instructed the concerned Engineers for taking immediate steps to restore the essential services in the area which have suffered damages due to the incident of landslides and cloudburst. He stressed the need for taking up the works on war footing basis in view of the upcoming festivals.


Saroori also directed SDM Padder to personally monitor the progress of restorations and assessment of damages to the assets in Massu and Kijai villages.


Congress leaders also visited Atholi to personally condole the demise of Congress Block President Dular Singh who passed away few days back.


Later Saroori also inaugurated "Som Nath residence restaurant” at Kishtwar. While inaugurating the newly restaurant owner by Som Nath Ex-Serviceman, Saroori said that the restaurants and hotels are the part and parcel of development of the area. He hopes that more people will come forward in the field of hotels and restaurants so that the demand of accommodation as well as food industry could be meted out. He stress upon the owner to the restaurant to maintain quality and hygiene inside the restaurant and extended him his best wishes for his success.


Saroori was accompanied by SDM Padder, TSO Padder, SI Atholi, Congress leaders including Mushtaq Hap, Mohinder Singh Parihar, Kailash Chander, Irshad Butt, Amar Singh, Randeep Bhandari, Rakhi Devi and others during the said tour to Padder.

Congress hold meeting discussed strategy for the upcoming Municipality Election



 
 

Kishtwar, July 26: - Vice President JKPCC and In-Charge Chenab Valley Mr. G. M. Saroori today chaired a meeting of Congress leaders, cadres here at the residence of Senior Congress leader from Kishtwar Ghulam Haider Sheikh and asked the party leaders and cadre to gear up for the municipal election, expected to be held after few months.

While addressing the party workers Saroori said the party needs to be ready for the election to ensure success and take the state forward. “We have to make our party ready so that we win the municipality election with good success and take this state forward,” Saroori told workers.


“Time for the test is coming. This is the last few months to make this party strong as municipality election is around the clock,” Saroori said and adding that you will see Congress party in a new face, with new enthusiasm… a new life will be enthused into the party and new activities will take place which will benefit the party workers.


“Soon election committee for the Municipality election will also be announced which will cover all the people from all the thirteen wards of Kishtwar town to look after the affairs of the election”, Saroori said.


In his address Executive member JKPCC, Ghulam Haider Sheikh has cautioned the party workers against the communal and divisive forces. He asked the party workers to carry forward the historical role of the Congress party as a unifying force to defeat the nefarious agenda of such forces in the upcoming election.


Asking the party leaders to work for the unity of the party so as to regain its lost ground in Kishtwar, Sheikh said, "Congress is full of experienced leaders, but there was a division within the party and we have united to strengthen the party. The Congress leadership has given us an opportunity to unite. We have to stand united and together with each other, so that we will win the Municipality election.


Retired SP and Congress leader, Mohd Aslam Malik in his address said that people have understand everything and are wise enough to compare the Congress tenure and the present dispensation and appeal to the people to reject the communal forces, adding the secular charter of the Congress party is appreciated everywhere on national and internal level. He said the composite culture from 2002-2014 of the State was an example for the people of States.


Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mahinder Singh Parihar, Piyaray Lal Shan in their address has referred to the various initiatives of the Congress led UPA government and the previous state governments on the initiative of the Congress party for the development and welfare of the people of erstwhile Doda district on various fronts as compare to PDP-BJP government which fails on each and every front. They referred to the contributions of leader of Opposition Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad (MP) and MLA Inderwal, Shri Ghulam Mohammad Saroori for the development of the backward region and asked the cadre to be united.


Others speakers’ including Master Ghulam Mohd Ganie, Haji Ghulam Hassan Mir, Madan Bhandari, Khursheed Dev said that Congress party is like an ocean, which had faced several storms. “Even big ships which have collided with the Congress have sunk and are no more. Whosoever collides with Congress party in the future will meet the same fate,” they said.


They further asked them to get united to defeat the nefarious designs of the communal forces.
The entire party cadre in one voice requested Mr. Saroori to come forward and lead the party in Kishtwar as well as he is leading from the two decades in Inderwal constituency and other parts of J&K


The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks to President JKPCC Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Mir who has acted as a bridge between the party cadres and has leaded the Congress party to new heights. They said there is no groupism in the party, congress is a secular party and every leader has liberty to take decisions bases on his personal opinion. What is important is that we should end fighting with each other and get unite to strengthen the party.

Saroori condole death of, a noted Islamic scholar Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahib


 
 
 
Held condolence meetings at Bhatyas Jakyas, Bathri, Kahara, Thathri and Kishtwar

Kishtwar, July 25: - The mortal remains of a noted Islamic scholar, spiritual personality from Bhalessa, Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahab, hailing from Jakyas Bhalessa passed away after brief illness. He was laid to rest at grave yard of Bhalessa.


Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, several other political leaders, besides around fifty (50) thousands of people from all walks of life from Bhalessa, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Doda, Jammu, Srinagar and other parts of the State attended Namaz-e-Jinazah of the departed spiritual leader.


In a condolence message, Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of noted Islamic scholar, spiritual personality from Bhalessa, Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori.


Saroori has termed Ganipori sahib demise a great loss that has created a void, difficult to fill. “Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori is a severe blow to Millat- e-Islam”.


In Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahib was rolled up several unique qualities; perspicacity of history, literary merit par excellence, humane at heart, intellectual vision coupled with humility and modesty and above all keen desire to spread 'message of humanity' in the light of Quraanic verses and traditions of the Prophet Mohammed (S.A.V.)," Saroori has observed in his condolence message.


Saroori recalled Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahab contribution to Islamic preaching. "The loss, one can imagine, is more keenly felt by the kith and kin of Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori and also from the people of Chenab Valley. I take this opportunity to convey my sincere condolences to them and pray to Allah for Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahib soul to achieve elevation and highest position in Jannat-e-Firdaus," said Saroori in its condolence message.


Later to mourn the sad demise of Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahab, a condolence meetings chaired by Vice President JKPCC, Mr. G. M. Saroori was held here at Bathri, Kahara, Thathri and Kishtwar.


The meeting expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed souls. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased’s to bear irreparable loss
.

They described the Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahab as a noble soul and a nice human being who lived a pious life and assured full support to Imam Jamia Masjid Moulana Burhan.

Saroori greets people on the auspicious occasion Eid-Ul-Fitr



 
 
 
Eid-ul-Fitr comes after a month of fasting, a period of soul elevation

Kishtwar, July 17: - Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal Mr. G. M. Saroori has greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday.


In his message Saroori said “Eid-ul-Fitr comes after a month of fasting, a period of soul elevation in which the essentials of faith are rejuvenated. These include Islam's message of peace and fraternity of all humankind".


Saroori said that the festival evokes feelings of brotherhood, compassion and sharing in all and strengthens the pluralistic bonds of the country's composite society. He also said that the auspicious occasion brought to the fore the noble instincts in people.


May the values that Muslims throughout the world venerate during Ramadan-charity, sacrifice, and compassion – point the way to achieving freedom, tolerance, and peace among all peoples.


“May this year's Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations strengthen mutual goodwill and inspire each one of us to follow the path of love, compassion and is marked by the spirit of brotherhood and sacrifice," he said.
