MLA Inderwal holds interaction session with sarpanches, panches of Sub-Division Chatroo

1.60 crores sanctioned for construction of concrete wall around Chatroo Nalla

Chatroo, July 14: - Member of Legislative Assembly Inderwal, Mr. G. M. Saroori today had an interactive meeting of sarpanches and panches of Chatroo and Mugalmaidan blocks.

The MLA Inderwal said that the objective of the interaction was to assess the genuine problems being faced by the people of rural areas of the district, so that these could be addressed to the extent possible, while gave them detailed information what decision’s was taken in the recently held District board meeting’s of Doda and Kishtwar.

The Sarpanches, Panches projected various problems and demands like better road connectivity, adequate availability of ration, better electricity, early distribution of Solar lights among real beneficiaries according to guidelines set by GOI etc. The Sarpanches and Pacnhes also requested MLA Inderwal to direct BDO’s for payment of only un-skilled work and it should be made within a two days time. So that the poor people of the area could celebrate the EID.

Saroori informed in the meeting that Rupees 1.60 crores have been sanctioned for the construction of concrete wall around the Chatroo Nalla so that the area will be protected from the havoc of the water besides Rs 1.50 crores were sanctioned for the construction of washed up portion of Circular road Chatroo, district Kishtwar.

“Consumers of the Inderwal constituency would get 2kg additional quota of sugar per family on the eve of EID,” Saroori said and added that ration for the month of April, May, June and July will be provided to all the consumers of Sub-Division Chatroo as recently I (Saroori) met with Minister for CAPD Mr. Zulfkar Ali and Director CAPD Jammu and got the sanctioning of additional 5000 quintals of ration for the area besides said that ration would be provided as per 2011 census to the beneficiaries earnestly.

Saroori also asked the DDC Kishtwar and Doda to ensure availability of basic amenities like drinking water, Ration, essential commodities, un-interrupted power supply, and hassle-free transport to the people on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr in Sub-Division Chatroo, Thakrie, Keshwan, Sarthal, Saroor, Drabshallah, Kandani, Kandoth, Bunjwah, Patnazi, Thathri, Phigsoo, Khara, Bhatyas, Jakyas, Bhalessa and other areas district Kishtwar and Doda.

The speakers on the occasion said that if MLA Inderwal would not have intervened few days back the tension in Mughal Maidan and Chatroo in Kishtwar District may not have defused as some people from outside Chatroo are hell bent to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the Chatroo. They said that while preparing the 6000 names for the beneficiaries list for the solar lights, it’s obvious that there might be a blooper. But at the time of distribution of solar lights by the JAKEDA officials they are collecting all the formalities which are set by GOI according to the rule.

Creating havoc by some outsiders from Chatroo their purpose is just to survive their political carrier and playing the cheap politics. But the people said that they will not allow them to succeed and as such elements will be dealt strictly and won’t be allowed to disturb the peaceful environment.

The MLA Inderwal assured them that the problems projected by them will be looked into for early redressal and said he has already talked with Minister for Science and Technology and Commissioner Secretary as well regarding the solar lights in Inderwal constituency and assured that solar lights distribution will be resumed in the last week of this month and will be distributed as per the list prepared earlier.

Later a resolution was also passed against the maligners who played negative role on the day of distribution of solar lights.
