Congress party greets people on New Year

Jammu, Dec 31: – Greeting the people ahead of the coming year, Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Minister of state for cooperatives Manohar Lal Sharma, Former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister Haji Abdul Rashid, Former MLC Janak Raj Gupta and Congress Youth Leader Shariq Saroori among others on Tuesday extended New Year greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prayed for their well-being, peace, welfare, prosperity and brotherly co-existence mark 2014.

In a statement, Congress leaders prayed that 2014 would usher in an era of peace and progress, wherein people of different communities live together in peace and brotherly coexistence.

Congress leaders wished the people a very Happy New Year and expressed sincere hope that 2014 shall usher in sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

Leaders said that the State has reeled under a long spell of turmoil and prayed for peace of the State and prosperity of the people.

Congress leaders said “it is time of self audit to review what has been done in the year we left and set new goals for New Year based on betterment of humanity and society.
