Saroori held public Darbar at Chatroo















Will launch an agitation in case demands of new administrative units could not be full filled: Saroori

Chatroo (Kishtwar), January 16: - In order to review the post snow work and efforts by the administration to mitigate people’s problems in Chatroo area of Inderwal Constituency, Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a public darbar at Meeting hall Chatroo, district Kishtwar.

Where people from Chatroo, Kuchal, Pasarkote, Malik Nar, Chingam, Mugalmaidan, Dadpeth, Kakarwagan, Sigdi, Tagood, Hurna, Durbeel, Rahalthal, Filler, Damber and other areas who projected their local demands before the MLA Saroori. People highlighted various demands for consideration and immediate redressal during the darbar.

Saroori directed the officials of Power, CAPD, PHE, R&B, PMGSY, Revenue, Horticulture, Rural development Department and others to attend to the problems on priority beside directed the officials to visit the villages and ensure on the spot redressal of the public issues highlighted by the deputations.

He said that several initiatives have already been taken for development of the area. Highlighting the developmental achievements in Chatroo area, Saroori said that the area has witnessed unprecedented development in core sectors. He added that equitable Development of backward and hilly regions of the area is priority of his (Saroori) and added ‘’he will leave no stone unturned to decrease their sufferings by extending every possible facility”.

Saroori also said that Congress party will contest alone in the upcoming Parliament and Assembly elections and said Congress high command will soon decide not to forge any electoral alliance with National Conference party in the coming elections. He added that the ongoing coalition has proved costly for Congress.

“Our workers are not supporting any pre-poll alliance with National Conference in coming parliament and assembly elections. Congress will not letdown the workers. Congress will respect the sentiments of workers and will contest the coming assembly elections of its own in all the constituencies,” Saroori said.

Lashing out at National Conference party, he said that NC leaders have always worked to weaken the Congress and party has faced tremendous loss after they entered into an alliance with National Conference. Citing an example before the public in an open public Darbar at Chatroo Saroori said NC Chief and Union New and Renewable energy Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah had sanctioned 10,000 solar home lighting for Kishtwar constituency only as erstwhile district Doda comprising of 6 seats in which 5 are representing of Congress and only one by National Conference and he (Farooq) had sanctioned only 10,000 solar lights only for Kishtwar constituency vide letter no ST/EDA/RVE/17/2009-10/V/3582. Saroori said proposal of Inderwal constituency stands submitted in the New and Renewable office in the year 2012-13 but yet sanction.

Saroori also warn government cum Cabinet Sub-Committee who is constituted to examine the creation of administrative units, if committee fail to give justice to remote and backward constituency like Inderwal with regard to creation of new administrative units, he (Saroori) will launch an agitation against government in case demands could not be full filled.

Later Saroori inaugurated Sale Extension Counter Kandna of CAPD at Tagood area of Chatroo tehsil.
