Bhalessa, August 20: - Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad visited the residence of noted religious leader of the Bhatyas area in Doda district Haji Ghulam Qadir Butt who passed away last month, to personally convey his condolences.
Azad expressed his sympathies with Imam Jamia Masjid Bhatyas Burhan Ahmed and other members of the bereaved family in their hour of distress. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
He described him as a saintly person. Azad said Haji Ghulam Qadir was believed to have attained pinnacles in mysticism and devotion to Almighty.
Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has termed Ganipori sahib demise a great loss that has created a void, difficult to fill. “Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori is a severe blow to Millat- e-Islam”.
In Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahib was rolled up several unique qualities; perspicacity of history, literary merit par excellence, humane at heart, intellectual vision coupled with humility and modesty and above all keen desire to spread 'message of humanity' in the light of Quraanic verses and traditions of the Prophet Mohammed (S.A.V.)," Saroori has observed in his speech.
Saroori recalled Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahab contribution to Islamic preaching. "The loss, one can imagine, is more keenly felt by the kith and kin of Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori and also from the people of Chenab Valley. I take this opportunity to convey my sincere condolences to them and pray to Allah for Haji Ghulam Qadir Bhat Ganipori sahib soul to achieve elevation and highest position in Jannat-e-Firdaus," said Saroori.
Azad also had group photograph with the Childrens of Madrasa Darul Alum Bhatyas.
At Thathri Dak Bunglow various deputations called upon Mr. Azad, apprised him about their problems and sought his intervention.
Among others Mohammed Sharief Niaz, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Sheikh Mujeeb, Asif Jahan Gattu, Mehboob Mustafa, Asgar Khangi, Sarfraz Khan, Mohammad Latief Mughal, Mohd Iqbal, Musarat Hussain, Abdul Majeed and others accompanied Mr. Azad during the tour to Bhalessa and Thathri.
