Teenager mysteriously goes missing in Kishtwar


 
 
Saroori demanded probe without any delay

Kishtwar, August 13: - Vice President J&K Congress Mr. G. M. Saroori-(MLA Inderwal) expressed shock and anger over the mysterious death of a 15 year old student after drowning in a river in Katersamni village of this mountainous district Kishtwar.


Aqib Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Mughal Maidan at present Wasserkund Kishtwar slipped into the river while he was taking bath on its banks, and was washed away. The incident took place when the deceased boy was on picnic with his friends.


Saroori asked for a probe so as to ascertain the truth behind the sudden death of a teenager and also to expose any foul play. He has demanded a probe by a special JK Police team over the drowning of a student in a river without any delay or callousness to find out the details of this case.

He said that this is really a matter of serious concern which needs to be investigated by the special JK Police team. “Any non-seriousness shown by the government in this regard could lead to further alienation and sense of fear among other students", Saroori added.


Saroori also condoled the sad demise of Aqib Hussain and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed to the Almighty Allah for peace to the departed soul and prayed to give courage of the family to bear this irreparable loss.


It is pertinent to mention that the friends of the missing youths, including 5th standard student informed the police that they along with Aqib went for a picnic on the bank of river Chenab, adding Aqib went for swimming but was drowned. They said that they tried their best to save him, but the strong currents of water consumed him.
