PDP, BJP workers join Congress; Iqbal Keen welcomes

Congress party determined to change destiny of the people of JK

Bunjwah, 24 January: - In a significant development, two dozens of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) activists Sunday joined Congress at Bunjwah in district Kishtwar in presence of Congress senior leader from Bunjwah and Sarppanch Association Bunjwah Mohd Iqbal Keen.

Iqbal Keen while addressing the new entrants into the party fold said that Congress state vice president and MLA Inderwal, Mr. G. M Saroori has always stood for the people and would continue to represent the aspirations of all the sections of the society. “I welcomed the decision of several BJP and PDP workers regarding joining the Congress. It is a right decision at the right time,” Iqbal Keen said. This would help the people of Bunjwah in all spheres of development.

Iqbal Keen exuded hope that with the joining of workers, the Congress would strengthen its base at the grassroots level in the area. “Congress party is determined to change destiny of the people of JK,” he said. “Joining of BJP and PDP leaders in the party was a clear indication that there was a realization among the people that only Congress has the agenda to address their wishes and aspirations.”

Those who joined Congress including Mohd Yusuf, Mohammad Shafi, Chowdhary Ibrahim, Ghulam Hussain, Chowdhary Mohd Shafi, Mohd Ismaiel, Kohli, Prithvi Raj, Mohd Sharief Butt, Jaffer Hussain, Mohd Shafi Malik, Noor Hussain, Mohd Yusuf, Ghulam Qadir, Mohd Faried, Mushtaq Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed Butt, Qasim Din, Mohd Rafi, Kaloo Kali, Noor Maie Kali, Naki Mohd, Mohd Hussain Mohd Yusuf, Mohd Akbar, Dil Mohd, Surinder Kumar, Shafitulla Butt, Mohd Ishaq and others from Patnazi B panchayat area of Bunjwah in district Kishtwar.

Prominent among those Sarpanch Chowdhary Mohd Shafi, Bashir Ahemd Keen, Mohd Yunus Keen and others were present on the occasion.
