us the chance”
Kahara/Bhalessa, October 16: - Asserting that the State Government failed to provide basic amenities to the people like adequate electricity, ration and drinking water supplies, former minister and senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said it was unfortunate that people were being subjected to load shedding of electricity for long hours.
Addressing the people at Kahara, Bathri, Bhatyas, Amritpura Bhalessa areas today, Mr Saroori said the Government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people. Saroori said that some rural areas of sub-division Thathri and Gandoh receiving erratic power supply are for the most of the time facing numerous problems on account of low voltage and the people are compelled to arrange alternative sources of illumination during the hours, they receive electricity.
He urged the administration to allot tenders of RGGVY phase II work to some contractors or start the work departmentally so that people of the area will get regular power supply. He further said the administration needs to ensure a better coordination between different departments especially those providing essential services.
Saroori also express his grave concern over mounting problems of the common masses, he said that due to its mis-governance this regime has lost its credibility. He took the Coalition Government to task for its failure to provide even ration to the people in the rural areas what to say of unconnected and remote belts.
He blamed the PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir for the unrest in the state and said the statements of Mehbooba Mufti have only "exacerbated" the crisis. He said Congress party is deeply concerned over the situation in Kashmir, which according to him is "sliding into total chaos". "The PDP-BJP government is squarely responsible for the sharp deterioration in the region from the last 3 and half months,"
Dubbing as an “eyewash” the ambitious PM 80 thousands crores package for the state, Saroori asked when government will release those 80 thousands crores as one year have been passed since the announcement by the PM and said the PDP-BJP made mere promises on since the formation of coalition but nothing concrete can be seen on the ground.
“After having failed at all fronts and patroning the corrupt, the PDP-BJP government is now hoodwinking people in the name of “Give us the chance” on the name of development, Saroori said.
