Saroori terms merging Bhalessa sub-division with Bhaderwah unfortunate

Demands Pahari district status to Bhalessa

Announced 75 lakhs for the construction of High School Kahara

BHALESSA, OCTOBER 29: - Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has strongly condemned government's move to merge Bhallesa sub-division within the territorial jurisdiction of sub-District Bhaderwah.

Terming it an injudicious act, he demanded immediate roll back of this order so that people of Bhalessa are given their due right back.

Addressing public meetings in village Manoie Batyas and Kahara, Saroori said, “People of Bhalessa were expecting Pahari district status to their area so that they are able to get equitable development like other areas but instead government deprives them of sub-division status. This is not acceptable to anybody in Bhalessa and if need arises we will strive hard to get back our due share.”

“I represent aspirations of people of Bhalessa and will fight for their just cause of getting Pahari District status tooth and nail. Any injustice meted out to them is like injustice being done to me,” Saroori said. “Government’s claim of providing equitable development to every nook and corner of the state and bringing the administration at their doorstep has fallen flat, people of Bhalessa have been pushed back to 1957 situation when had to travel 100 kms to reach Bhaderwah for a small administrative issue,” he said and termed this step very unfortunate. He said that after this step, people will have to travel from Bhalessa to Thathri to Doda and then reach Bhaderwah as there is no direct route available to reach Bhaderwah and so work in offices.

At the same time, Saroori attacked BJP for working to destabilise the secular fabric of state and the country. “As BJP is communalising the situation by raking up issues lie Article 370, Ghar Wapsi, Taj Mahal, uniform civil code and other issues, PDP continues to remain a mute spectator to all this. This trend is very dangerous,” Saroori added.

On the occasion local sarpanches and leaders highlighted the need of Pahari District status to this far-flung flung area. Notable among those who were present on the occasion were Ex-Sarpanch Musarat Hussain Malik, Alhaj Feroz Din Butt, Ex-Sarpanch Feroz Din and many other were present on the occasion. "No Muslim can sing 'Vande Mataram' if he considers himself to be a true believer," said Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, G. M Saroori. During his address to huge gathering, Saroori also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government in the Centre of spreading Hindutva and destroying secularism from the nation. Just to promote Hindutva and to end secularism, these kinds of decisions are being taken.

Saroori said that rather than promoting Hindutva, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should promote ‘constitution nationalism’. “We Muslims only worship Allah, neither we praises Mecca nor Prophet Muhammad. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t love our nation. History has witnessed that we have sacrificed everything for the country and is still ready to do it. But as per the Constitution we have been granted freedom of religion. Why are we only promoting Hindutva,” Saroori asked. “The real face of the BJP is being unveiled now. Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas was just a drama, there real intention was to hurt Muslims and to raise sensational issues,” he added.

He further condemned those people who try to demonise Islam by raising the sentimental issues and urged Muslims all over the India to unite in isolating and exposing the nefarious designs of such divisive forces. Referring to the series of issues raised by the centre government including triple tallak, Taj Mahal, Biryani, Gau Rakshak, Uniform civil code, Saroori said that any interference in Muslim Personal matters will not be tolerated. He urged all Muslims to condemned the acts of extremism committed by BJP, Shiv Sena, Bajrag Dal, and other vested elements to malign the message of peace preached by the great religion of Islam’’. “These are troubled times and we need to join our hands together to isolate and expose these fringe groups,’’ he said and announced that Rs. 10 lakhs stands released out of his CDF for the construction of sanitary complex near Jamia Masjid Kahara besides this announced one lakh and eleven thousands from his salary for the Kahara madrasa.

Imam Markazi Jamia Masjid Talab Khatinga, Mufti Anaytullah in his address said that the people should follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said the Prophet’s (SAW) arrival brought awakening, enlightment, and word of Allah to the world which was otherwise buried in the darkness of Jahiliya. He said everybody should follow the footsteps and abide by the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave man both the freedom to think and freedom to live. Throwing light over the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Imam Khatinga described him as the prime resistance and freedom loving leader. He said Prophet Muhammad (SAW) brought the real freedom in the world by liberating people from the human slavery and asking them submit their will and life before only one creator of universe- Allah.

Mufti Anaytullah said the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) life was the role model for the conglomerate and they were following and taking inspiration from him in their ongoing struggle with the fascist cum communal movement. He also said that the Madrasa where hundreds of students get Deeni (religious) education has enlighten many people and lauded the efforts of Madrasa faculty for imparting religious education. Describing the religious education as basic education to ensure the all round development of the person besides making him civilizes', Molana stressed upon hard work by children and the teachers of the Madrasa to prune new generation in better way.

Other speakers including Mufti Jamal Ud Din, Mufti Nazir Ahmed, Mufti Fateh Mohd, Mufti Parvez Alam Imam Jamia Masjid Kahara during their address exhorted students, parents and people to make best use of religious education and follow the principles as shown in the holy book. They asked people why this is happening with us. First of all we ourselves are responsible for this. We are not united. We have stopped following Quran and Sunnah. We have stopped gaining the knowledge. We are divided into sects and Nationalism. Secondly our enemies are also trying hard to make the things worse and worse for us by doing conspiracies. Muslim Ummah should be like one body. When one Muslim is in pain in one corner of the world the other in other corner should feel the pain and help him. Loving our country is natural but Nationalism should not overcome the Ummah. Islam is above country. We should also not be divided on basis of Sectarianism. Quran clearly teaches us to not be divided into sects. The solution to overcome sectarianism is following Quran and Sunnah. He said that we should also be ready to respond to the conspiracies of our enemies. They want to divide and conquer people.

BJP and PDP unleashing a wave of communal and divisive politics: Saroori

We will stand like a rock and foil all their attempts to disturb peace

BUNJWAH, OCTOBER 20: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that the BJP and PDP are unleashing a wave of communal and divisive politics in the State in a bid to create political instability for petty political gains.

Mr. Saroori, who was addressing workers meeting in Nakki Patshalla, Jawalapur, Patnazi areas of Bunjwah, said that the BJP and the PDP are struggling hard in different parts of the State to somehow raise communal passions without bothering about the welfare of the people of the State. “Instead of bringing different communities together, efforts of the BJP and PDP are to create a wedge between the various communities just to somehow divide the society, fragment it, tear it apart and get some political advantage”, Saroori said, adding that the communal elements whether they belong to any political group, region or religion need to be identified and isolated.

Saroori said BJP is a fountain head of communal politics in the country and was now spreading communalism in the State for petty political gains which does not go in favour of the State and its people. He said BJP has lost its moorings in the State and is now struggling to hopelessly re-establish itself by raising issues with communal overtones thereby attempting to disturb the secular fabric of the State. He said, the PDP which lacks ideology and is fighting internal crises due to dissension within the party leadership is trying to somehow keep itself afloat by indulging in divisive politics so that the focus shifts from the internal dynamics of that party (PDP).

He said Congress party will continue to strive to maintain and uphold the secular fabric of the State and will fight the divisive forces whose basic intent is to somehow destabilize the polity in the State. He referred to the developments taking place in the BJP said that earlier the party used to implement its agenda clandestinely and now they are openly preaching what they stand for to polarize the situation. He vowed that Congress will not allow the machinations of the communal parties like BJP or disruptive PDP to succeed in dividing the people in a state like Jammu and Kashmir and said: “We will stand like a rock and foil all their attempts to disturb peace”.

Saroori said there is no danger either to religion or to minorities but the slogan is just a hoax which BJP is playing up to brighten its “Bhakt’s”. He said that BJP and PDP have developed a vested interest in putting Jammu and Kashmir on boil with an eye for saving the so called chair and enjoying the power. Discord between various sections of society serves the interests of the two parties, which have been working for a common cause to polarize the situation in order to derive political mileage.

On the occasion, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) senior leaders from Nakki Patshalla area including Mohd Hussain Doey, Mohd Amin, Mohd Aslam Kishtwar joined Congress Party in presence of state Congress vice president and MLA Inderwal G. M Saroori. The newly entrants leaders expressed to resolve to work for further strengthening the party in Patshalla, Bunjwah areas. Saroori said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have very bad experience of coalitions and now they realize the need of political stability that can steer out Jammu and Kashmir from the prevailing morass.

“The people understand that it is only the Congress that is capable of creating jobs, feeding mouths, ending alienation, instilling sense of security and realizing ambitions of all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh especially rural and far-flung areas . He said Congress has a chequered history of public service and engaging people in positive pursuits.

The state Congress vice president said joining of cross section of people into the Congress reflects their trust in the party that speaks for all and strives for welfare and dignity of all, irrespective of caste, creed, region and religion. “Time stands testimony to the fact that Congress has never ever brought the three regions, rural or urban face to face or encouraged wedge between people of various faiths, which has now become norm of the opportunistic and exploitative politics", Saroori said adding that this is why the party stands tall in all the three regions.

Real purpose of MGNREGA scheme is being defeated by complete failure of Haq Khan in J&K

Saroori called upon the party & youth Congress workers to approach public and expose the truth behind the anti-people policies of the PDP-BJP and NDA governments. Jammu and Kashmir State, Saroori has questioned the role of the PDP-BJP which always indulged in rhetorics on the issue for the sake of its domestic politics and accused the Modi government for following an inconsistent and zig-zag policy towards Kashmir.

Underlining the importance of better road facility for the development of the region Saroori said that the better quality of road is the pre-requisite for the development of an area and once an area is connected with road than its development is assured. He was addressing gathering after kick starting the macdamisation works on Kuchal and Durbeel-Hurna roads. The macdamisation of 6.5 kms each long Kuchal and Hurna roads was a long pending demands of the people of this region as they were suffering badly due do dilapidated condition of this road. Kuchal and Hurna roads are being important road links connect thousands of the people of various villages and once macadamised it will facilitate these people by making this journey easy.

While interacting with the people at these places, Saroori said that projects amounting to several crores have been sanctioned due to his hard efforts. He said that initially the blacktopping of main roads of sub-division Chatroo along with the provision for providing better power and water supply remained his priority. On the occasion, MLA Inderwal also announced blacktopping work on Sinthan road from km 171 to 184 and inspected 4.5 kms long blacktopping patch work from Kuriya Pull to Chatroo. He also assured the people that the developmental works in the constituency shall be expedited.

Saroori said that in sheer violation of standing norms and the spirit of the much publicized Centrally sponsored scheme under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), lakhs of people belonging to the labour class, have been denied their hard earned wages worth over Rs 100 crores in the Kishtwar and Doda districts for the last over one year. Saroori said this during the one day long tour to Chatroo area, when many job card holder’s complaint with Mr. Saroori that they have not received any payment for the last two financial years that is 2016-17 and 2017-18.

He said a poor person belonging to labour class required wages in the evening after completion of work so that he or she could feed his/ her family by getting meals in the evening but if the labourer is denied wages for months together, then there is no purpose of such schemes. It indicated that the real purpose of the MGNREGA Scheme is being defeated especially in this State by complete failure of Minister for RDD Abdul Haq Khan despite the fact that spirit behind the scheme is very good for providing job to those living below poverty line or belonging to the category of poorest of the poor.

Saroori said several political leaders and Panchayat heads are repeatedly demanding release of wages but their voice is falling to the deaf ears of state government and Haq Khan. He said voters elected BJP with great hopes of development, but since day one, the party has shown its real face by taking anti-people stand such as weakening of MGNREGA and giving huge tax concessions to industrial houses. He said MGNREGA job card holders should be provided rightful money. He warned the Central Government and Rural Development Department that in case of further delay in the payment of liability wages, he along with thousands of Job card holders will start agitation.
