Announced development projects for Bunjwah; Many joins Congress party
BUNJWAH, OCTOBER 21: - Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, G. M Saroori today concluded three days extensive tour of Bunjwah tehsil and interacted with the locals to ascertain the status of various local grievances.
Enroute, the MLA Inderwal met several deputations from Patshalla, Tipri, Nakki, Noor, Kewa, Athwan, Jawalapur, Nali, Binoon, Chakroon, Mori, Patnazi, Kither, Burdhar areas apprised him of their day-to-day problems and sought their redressal. Saroori took note of the public grievances and held detailed discussion with the officers of RDD, PMGSY, R&B, Food & Supplies, PDD and PHE Departments and directed the administration to resolve the public issues in a time-bound and effective manner. He was accompanied by various officials during his tour and meetings to resolve the issues raised by the people.
Local people of Bunjwah mainly demanded blacktopping on Dunadi-Bunjwah road, conversion of ration cards from APL to BPL, laying of GIP pipes at Tipri, Jawalapur, Nali, Binoon & Patnazi areas, clearance of MGNREGA, IHHL and watershed works payments.
“While referring to the development done for the Bunjwah areas, Saroori said there was no connectivity for Bunjwah till 2004 as people were forced to walk on foot from Tipri to other parts of Bunjwah, Construction of 13 km long Dunadi Bunjwah, 6 kms Kewa Pul to Tipri, 7 kms Tipri to Patnazi, 15 kms Patnazi to Kither, have benefitted large chunk of population and generate economic activities”, Saroori said adding that only demand left is blacktopping on the already constructed link roads which is a long cherished demand of the people of the area and assured that before 2020 the blacktopping work on Bunjwah road will be completed. He said that schools, Aganwari’s, Tehsil and Block status for Bunjwah has been opened with an aim in bringing the administration to the doorsteps of the masses.
Mr. Saroori said that he has directed the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) department for preparation of fresh DPR of road project from Kewa Pul to Patnazi including removing of landslies, walling, laying of GSB, mettaling, macdamisation and premixing on the 13 kms road falling under the PMGSY department of block Kishtwar. He said within three months of time said project costing 15.43 crores will be sanctioned. He said the 1st 13 kms also stands handed over to R&B department from JKPCC department and soon the balance work will be started which will give sigh of relief to the people of Bunjwah and thus will fulfill the long pending demand of people of Bunjwah.
During his tour Mr. Saroori also announced Rs. 41 lakhs for the construction of laboratory for HSS Binoon, Rs. 5 lakhs for augmentation of transformer at Nakki and Gantora areas, and said tenders for 2 kms long GIP pipes stands issued by PHE department for Binoon and Jawalapur areas which will cater the problems of drinking water facility. He further announced that under RGGVY phase II the PDD department has started the departmentally work in Kither and Burdhar areas for electrification of the ST dominated villages, when completed it will attain the National common minimum program goal of providing access to electricity to all households. He also said that three new roads including Tipri to Patshalla, Basharat village to Chakroon village and Mislaei to Kurar areas of Tehsil Bunjwah has been sanctioned under PMGSY scheme and within three months of time the work on these roads shall be started. He further announced that 21 mw Patnazi Bunjwah phase II power project has been awarded to M/s Patnazi Power Pvt ltd. (An Energo Group Company) and said he is hopeful that by this power project the electricity problem will be solved in the Bunjwah area.
On the occasion many BJP and PDP workers including Abdullah Bhat, Mohd Sharief, Riyaz Ahmed, Mohd Ishaq Naik, Fareed Ahmed and others from Binoon Bunjwah have joined the Congress party in presence of JKPCC Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and pledged to strengthen the party at grass roots level with an avowed objective of steering Jammu and Kashmir to peace, prosperity and development. Welcoming the newly entrants into the party fold, Mr. Saroori said that Congress is a movement that has inspired generations to carry forward the forward looking policies for ensuring better future for the posterity. He said joining of right thinking people will strengthen the caravan, enabling it to meet the political and economic aspirations of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
