Saroori terms merging Bhalessa sub-division with Bhaderwah unfortunate

Demands Pahari district status to Bhalessa

Announced 75 lakhs for the construction of High School Kahara

BHALESSA, OCTOBER 29: - Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has strongly condemned government's move to merge Bhallesa sub-division within the territorial jurisdiction of sub-District Bhaderwah.

Terming it an injudicious act, he demanded immediate roll back of this order so that people of Bhalessa are given their due right back.

Addressing public meetings in village Manoie Batyas and Kahara, Saroori said, “People of Bhalessa were expecting Pahari district status to their area so that they are able to get equitable development like other areas but instead government deprives them of sub-division status. This is not acceptable to anybody in Bhalessa and if need arises we will strive hard to get back our due share.”

“I represent aspirations of people of Bhalessa and will fight for their just cause of getting Pahari District status tooth and nail. Any injustice meted out to them is like injustice being done to me,” Saroori said. “Government’s claim of providing equitable development to every nook and corner of the state and bringing the administration at their doorstep has fallen flat, people of Bhalessa have been pushed back to 1957 situation when had to travel 100 kms to reach Bhaderwah for a small administrative issue,” he said and termed this step very unfortunate. He said that after this step, people will have to travel from Bhalessa to Thathri to Doda and then reach Bhaderwah as there is no direct route available to reach Bhaderwah and so work in offices.

At the same time, Saroori attacked BJP for working to destabilise the secular fabric of state and the country. “As BJP is communalising the situation by raking up issues lie Article 370, Ghar Wapsi, Taj Mahal, uniform civil code and other issues, PDP continues to remain a mute spectator to all this. This trend is very dangerous,” Saroori added.

On the occasion local sarpanches and leaders highlighted the need of Pahari District status to this far-flung flung area. Notable among those who were present on the occasion were Ex-Sarpanch Musarat Hussain Malik, Alhaj Feroz Din Butt, Ex-Sarpanch Feroz Din and many other were present on the occasion. Also dozens of BJP and PDP workers joined in Congress party.

At Kahara on the demand of public regarding the poor condition of High School Kahara, Saroori directed officials of R&B department regarding the dismantling and reconstruction of 9 room’s triple story building including protection wall at government high school Kahara for that MLA Inderwal has announced Rs. 75 lakhs which will solve the problems of the student community of the Kahara area.
