Ghulam Nabi Azad condoles Molvi Rashid's demise


Jammu, October 28: Leader of Opposition Rajya Sabha Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad has deeply condoled the sudden demise of Ex MLA Banihal, Deputy Speaker Molvi Abdul Rashid.

In a condolence message Azad expressed profound grief and shock over the demise of Mr. Rashid. Mr Azad described him as a dedicated and sincere leader who devoted his entire life in the service of the people. He said that during a distinguished political career spanning several years, Molvi sahib had performed various responsibilities with aplomb. His Contribution to J&K state and specially Chenab valley through long years of public service will be always remembered.

“I stand in solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief”, said Azad. He prayed for the eternal piece of the departed soul and grant of strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Meanwhile Senior Congress Leaders including Tariq Hameed Karra, G. M Saroori, Haji Abdul Rasheed Dar, Vikar Rasool Wani, Mohd Amin Bhat, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Mumtaz Ahmed, Chowdhary Akram, Abdul Majeed Wani, Ashok Kumar Bhagat, Mohammed Sharief Niaz, Sham Lal Bhagat, Naresh Kumar, Salman Nizami, Sharik Saroori, Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mahinder Singh Parihar have also condoled Molvi Rashid's demise, Congress leaders said "Saddened to hear about Ex MLA Banihal/ Dy Speaker Molvi Abdul Rashid Sahib's demise". His demise leaves a huge void in the state & in Banihal, where his exemplary leadership had a major impact on people's lives. In his long political journey he won many admirers across the political spectrum. “Wishing his family peace and strength during this difficult time”, Congress leaders said.
