address public grievances since 2014

KUCHAL, AUGUST 03: - Describing peace as key to progress, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said he as a MLA Inderwal since 2002 has been able to provide good governance to the people of Inderwal constituency with the active cooperation of the people.
“My achievements on both peace and development fronts are speaking loudly,” Mr. Saroori was addressing public meetings in Kuchal area of Mugalmaidan tehsil.
Saroori asked people to continue extending their cooperation and to move ahead on road to progress and development. He listed out initiatives like the 85% road connectivity, schools, colleges, distribution of ration at people’s door steps, administrative units for every area, electricity, drinking water facilities, scholarships for three thousands students for doing higher education’s, sub centers, PHC’s, Gujjar hostel, launching of IWMP schemes for every panchayat, establishment of three modern girls hostels, 20 crores for Tourism sector and various other steps taken by him for empowerment of people and good governance. He asked people to make best of the various rights for which they are entitled.
He said that NDA (BJP) Government “glaring insensitivity” towards far-flung of the state was tragic and “a source of deprivation and misery for thousands of families across the state.” He expressed disappointment at the centre government’s “failure” to dispense with even its most basic duties in Chenab Valley. He said that BJP government has “failed” to put in place any system to address public grievances since 2014 to which common masses are suffering a lot.
Saroori said, “Congress had always cherished and nurtured a special bond with the people of Chenab Valley. During the previous UPA I and UPA II, “we ensured Chenab Valley received its due share of funds” and several infrastructural initiatives were made possible.
On the occasion people highlighted various demand including blacktopping on Lower Kuchal to Upper Kuchal link road, repairment of pipes, upgradation of transformers, early clearance of MGNREGA, IWMP, Construction of bathrooms under IHHL schemes and other day to day problems. Mr. Saroori gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be addressed in a time bound manner. In some cases, Saroori gave on the spot directions to for immediate redressal. He also announced funds for the construction of house in Kuchal area which will solve all the drinking water facility, all the households of Kuchal areas will be electrified within a period of six months, thus fulfilling all the long pending demands of the area.
Earlier Mr. Saroori inaugurated the building for Government Primary School, Mir Mohalla Kuchal. While speaking he highlighted the importance of education and said that the talent is present among the students of the district Kishtwar and Doda but need is to channelize it. He said various initiatives have been taken for improving the basic infrastructure under education sector but need is to do more. Asking the teachers to work with utmost dedication and honestly, Saroori said that the teachers should deliver their services promptly and try to achieve the hundred percent results as well as in performance index.
