Saroori held series of public meetings in Mugalmaidan

Time has come to install a Government headed by Azad which is fully accountable and is answerable to the people

Simbole to Kundka Kuchal road offing

Large number of BJP workers joined Congress

SIMBOLE, SEPTEMBER 22: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a series of public meetings at far-flung areas including Simbole, Basha, Kundka, Chatran, Didwar, Kundalla areas of Kuchal in tehsil Mugalmaidan.

While addressing the series of meeting Saroori said For Congress, justice is the only religion and, therefore, its main emphasis will be to ensure equitable distribution of State resources to all sections of society, so that nobody has an opportunity to complain that he or she has been discriminated simply because of belonging to a particular community or caste.

In a State like Jammu & Kashmir, said Saroori, different regions have different community compositions, and therefore, after the formation of Congress government in 2019 whatever region a particular community is in minority, special caution will be exercised to take care of its sensitivities.

Saroori said Congress will endeavour to create an administrative setup which offers opportunities to every youth depending on his ability, diligence and expertise. Youth power is the biggest resource of the State of Jammu & Kashmir but unfortunately large majority of youth are migrating out of the State to look for job opportunities in other places, he observed and added, Congress will endeavor to correct this anomaly and will start the work of power projects in Chenab Valley which will give employment to around more than 10,000 unemployed youths.

He said that the last 4 years, the areas of Kishtwar, Inderwal, Bhaderwah, Doda, Ramban and Banihal remain undeveloped and backward, in spite of hundreds of crores of rupees being pumped in through Central Funds. The reason is very simple that the PDP who has no footings in the Chenab Valley while BJP deliberately neglected these areas for political considerations. The ruling parties, including PDP and BJP, had their priorities placed elsewhere and they did not allow these regions to grow, so that the people here could be kept perpetually deprived of the benefits of tourism, education and youth employment and the best example is in front of all that the PDP and BJP failed to resume the work on Ratle power project at Drabshalla which will absorb thousands of youth,” he added.

Making a dig at those leaders who misguided these innocent people of far-flung areas in 2014 elections by saying that a Congress Government will be biased against these areas or certain community or castes and will be corrupt, Saroori said, time has come to install a Government in the State which is fully accountable and is answerable to the people for each penny spent from the Central Grants, but this is possible only if we have a Congress Government in the State headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad. He also said that due to his hard efforts the school has been sanctioned for Kundka Kuchal and said road from Simbole to Kundka will soon be sanctioned.

At all the meetings held, Saroori was warmly greeted by large crowds cutting across the community lines. On the occasion the MLA Inderwal congratulated the large number of BJP workers who joined Congress and exhorted them to work for development and prosperity of Inderwal Assembly Constituency.

Appealing for a vote for Congress in future, Saroori said that this is a historic opportunity for the Kishtwar Constituency to prove to the entire world that the voice of the common people from this area for the first time found its echo in the hall of Jammu & Kashmir State Assembly through the voice of a Congress MLA.

He said that people of Jammu region particularly Chenab region would never repeat the mistake of giving mandate to BJP, while PDP will be wiped out in Kashmir region in view of their total U-turn on their respective agenda and ideology for sake of power.

Saroori said no doubt people had got exploited on emotional issue of religion, region, castes etc, in the 2014 elections, but now the real face of BJP and PDP is exposed. How could have they surrendered their commitment to the people in elections and form an unusual alliance which brought all round destruction and disturbances in the State.

Resolve SSA teacher’s genuine issues: Saroori to Governor J&K

Participated in the ReT teacher’s protest in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 15: - Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori asked the administration to resolve the issues of Rehber-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, who have been on indefinite hunger strike for the last four days in the state.

Around 41,000 SSA teachers and headmasters, working under RMSA, have been demanding implementation of the seventh pay commission and delinking of their salaries.

Mr. Saroori visited the new DC office complex Kishtwar and participated in the SSA teacher’s protest to express solidarity. The teachers also made a march towards the DC Office and raised the slogans in implementation of their demands.

While addressing the protesting teachers Saroori said the ReT scheme, under which qualified people of an area were appointed teachers in their respective areas, was started by the UPA Government headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh with an intention to lower the rate of unemployment and improve the literacy rate in the state.

Saroori said it was “unfortunate” that those who build society were on hunger strike and there is no one in the administration is listening their genuine demands. He said if Congress led government gave the ReT teachers the benefits of 6th pay commission why the government has deprived these teachers and masters from 7th pay commission, which is total injustice with the teachers and masters working under SSA and RMSA.

“Government should seriously talk to them, discuss the issues threadbare and try to address them,” he said and added that forcing teachers to go on hunger strike, using force against them should be avoided.

Saroori urged upon the Governor J&K Satya Pal Malik, his advisors, Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary Education that implementation of 7th pay commission is legal right of teachers and masters working under SSA and RMSA. He urged them to redress the issues of teachers and masters as early as possible, so that these teachers and masters will spend their sweat and blood for shaping the future of students enrolled in the schools.

Later the teachers along with Mr. Saroori submitted a memorandum to the Governor J&K through ADDC, Kishtwar Shri. Imam Din.
