Inaugurates newly up gradated High
school; Thal to Kwath, Hirkhani to Dadeel roads offing
DURBEEL, SEPTEMBER 05: - Carrying
forward initiative to reach out to people living in tough terrains of Inderwal
constituency, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice
President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a two days long tour
of hilly areas of Hirkhani, Kwath, Durbeel, Nanthala, Waheed, Wani Mohalla,
Ganie Mohallah, Horna and adjoining areas of sub-division Chatroo.
Describing development of hilly and
tough terrains of the Inderwal constituency as his priority, Mr. Saroori said
landmark initiatives have been taken to upgrade facilities of education, power,
PHE and R&B in these areas. He said development policy in the Inderwal has
been fine tuned to cater to the requirements of such areas and focused
attention is being paid to uplift and develop remote belt of the Inderwal.
Saroori said schools and roads have
opened gate of progress in life of an individual. Educational institutions play
an important role in society. He expressed these views at the inauguration
ceremony of upgradation of Government Middle School to High School at village
Kwath. He said that in view of importance of education, upgradation of schools
is being done so that students can continue their education in their village
itself. He called upon students to study well and excel in their life. He said
to students that educated person received honour and prestige in society and
many doors opens for them for development.
He also announced the construction
of road from Thal to Kwath to be executed by R&B department at a cost of
Rs. 2 crores. He also promised that road from Hirkhani-Dadeel at a cost of Rs.
7.50 crores will soon be sanctioned under PMGSY scheme along with one bridge
which will cater the long pending demands of the area. He also inspected the
Waheed to Kwath road and asked the executing agency to complete the road project
as soon as possible, so that people won’t suffer anymore and said that the
impact of the development works in Inderwal is visible on ground. He also said
that within 6 months, 63 kv transformers will be installed in all the
un-electrified villages and all the rotten, wodden poles will be replaces with
iron poles. He also exhorted upon the people to actively partake in the
developmental process to achieve tangible results on ground.
Saroori said he has fulfill the
promises made with the people and reiterated that it is working hard to address
and redress the problems of the people to bring peace and development. Various
projects have been initiated to address the development aspirations of people
living in hilly and far-off areas and all out efforts are afoot to upgrade
infrastructure in these areas,” he added.
MLA Inderwal also met various
deputations who projected day to day problems of their respective areas and
assured them that their genuine demands would be addressed on high priority. He
also announced laying of 10 kms of pipes in various areas of sub-division
Chatroo.
On the occasion hundreds of
political activists joined Congress in presence of Mr. Saroori. Calling upon
the new entrants to strengthen the party by spreading agenda of the party,
Saroori said that change was order of the day and people of State were looking
towards Congress. “It’s the desire of Congress party to establish a system
where every sections of the society would get justice and equal opportunities
for development and economic growth”, he said and added that the agenda of the
Congress was formulated by accommodating wishes and aspirations of all regions
and sub-regions of the State. He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad during its tenure
had carved out a path of peace and development in the State by treating all
regions and sub-region equally.
