Saroori grieved over demise of daughter of Farooq Ahmed Kichloo Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar





Jammu, October 26: Congress Vice President J&K and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal, G. M Saroori expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of daughter of Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Maulana Farooq Ahmed Kichloo and wife of Inspector Jaleel Ahmed who passed away in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu today.

In a condolence message to the family, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori expressed his solidarity and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed soul.

Saroori described the daughter of Maulana Farooq Ahmed Kichloo as a noble soul and a nice human being who lived a pious life. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile all the Sarpanchs, Panchs, Congress leaders, Youth Congress leaders, and people of Kishtwar have also condoled the demise of daughter of Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Maulana Farooq Ahmed Kichloo.

Saroori grieved over demises of Abdul Rehman Dev, Roshan Lal and Des Raj Bhandari

Jammu, October 25: Congress Vice President J&K and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal, G. M Saroori on Sunder expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demises of Abdul Rehman Dev, owner of Fareedia Hotel Shaheedi Chowk Jammu, Roshan Lal son of Hukum Chand resident of Simbole Kuchal, tehsil Mugalmaidan and Des Raj Bhandari resident of Bhandari Mohalla of district Kishtwar who passed away recently due to prolong illness.


In a condolence message to the families, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori expressed his solidarity and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed souls.


Describing Abdul Rehman Dev as a pioneering entrepreneur and a responsible business leader Saroori said that he will remain an inspiration for the enterprising youth and that his demise has created a void which is not easy to fill. He described late Roshan Lal and Des Raj Bhandari as down to earth social activists who throughout their life tirelessly worked for the betterment and uplift of the down trodden sections of the society.


He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear the irreparable loss.

Saroori condemns burning of Quran verses in Bhaderwah


 
Hailed the Chenab Valley people including non-Muslims for observing strike against the heinous act; Pays obeisance at Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah

New Delhi, October 23: - Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal G. M Saroori Friday strongly condemned, what it said, the burning of verses of Quran in firecrackers on the eve of Dushera by some miscreants in Bhaderwah of district Doda, demanding legal action against those involved in the blasphemous act.


“Burning of crackers with Quranic verses written on it in Bhaderwah is neither any coincidence and nor does this occur due to the ignorance of the miscreants but it is part of a well thought plan and its only purpose is to hurt the Muslim sentiments and create the communal tension in the region,” Saroori said in a statement.


“Since the day BJP backed government came into power in the state, the mischievous activities in the Chenab valley region have increased at the alarming pace,” Saroori said and warned of serious consequence if the ‘conspiracies’ against the Jammu Muslims are not stopped forthwith.


He said the some people are hell bent upon hurting the sentiment of Muslims by resorting to such means which is by no means tolerable by anyone. “Such acts are detrimental to international peace, brotherhood and amity,” he added.


Saroori hailed the Chenab Valley people including non-Muslims for observing strike against the heinous act. He demanded exemplary punishment to the miscreants, so that no one ever dares to indulge into such intolerable offence in future time.


Meanwhile Saroori offers prayers at the dargah of famous Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya here for peace in Jammu and Kashmir Valley.


Congress leader spent over 30 minutes at the dargah in Nizamuddin in south Delhi. “He offered prayers seeking for the peace, prosperity and tranquility of state”. He performed other rituals at dargah of famous Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya along with by Dargah's spiritual.


Earlier Saroori was accorded a traditional welcome by the Dargah's spiritual and were taken to Amir Khusro’s grave where they offered a Chadar & flowers and offered 'fateha'.


Congress leader told the media after ziyarat that he came to the Dargah only to pray for peace in the Valley.

'Sadbhavana Award' to Ghulam Nabi Azad

Jammu, October 22: - The Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir today congratulated Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, upon being awarded Sadhbhavana Award which was given by the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Committee on the occasion of silver jubilee year of Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra at Pole at historic Charminar.


In a joint statement issued by Congress leaders including G. M Saroori, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Chowdhary Mohd Akram, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, Jahangir Hussain Mir, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Sham Lal Bhagat, Ashok Kumar, Mohammed Sharief Niaz, Abdul Majeed Wani, Vikar Rasool, Salman Nizami, Sheikh Mujeeb, Arun Singh Raju and other Congress leaders have congratulated Azad for the award.

The Congress leaders reminded that Rajiv Gandhi had undertaken Sadbhavan Yatra in the country at a time when the country was torn by conflicts based on caste and religion. Rajiv Gandhi hoisted the Congress party flag at historic Charminar and commenced his Sadbhavana Yatra in twin cities in the year, 1990.


They wished the 66-year old Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, currently Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, more success in the future.
