India has seen an increase in cases of intolerance since BJP came into the power
Jammu, October 14: Jammu and Pardesh Congress Committee has condemned the attack on former diplomat Sudheendra Kulkarni, whose face was smeared with black paint on Monday, allegedly by Shiv Sena supporters.
In a statement issued by Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Monga, G. M Saroori, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Usman Majid, Choudhary Akram, Salman Nizami, Farooq Andrabi and others said that Sena's actions were "highly deplorable".
Congress leader from JK have also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the incident, saying the top BJP leader's 'Make in India' initiative is nothing but 'Breaking India' campaign.
"After the BJP came to power from the last 18 months, we have seen an increase in cases of intolerance, this is against democracy," Congress leaders said and added that we condemn the attack and the act was "totally unacceptable".
